As I figured, the optimal strategy is to explode a ways before the cars. Debris fields like that are almost unfairly difficult to dodge. A couple of these where you play the other side would be neat to see, and I think you definitely could do a non round-based system if everyone chose and spawned their heavyweights beforehand and simply swapped to them when they were eliminated. This on higher or lower gravity might also be interesting, or an inverse where the heavyweights go up and tiny cars hit them in an attempt to wear it down before it reaches the top.
Kind of, it depends. It's sort of random though, it's better to have a _little_ control, I think. He didn't play the other side because a lot won't be seen on camera. We can't swap to already spawned cars because all those spawns would kill the frame rate. Otherwise, maybe some of those might work
@@longbowxmkii In otherwords, make it work for the lowest denominator - sure, you might have a beast of a PC that can handle 60 cars crashing at same time in BeamNG but someone else might only handle 12 cars instead
The Tograc was very good at this. Fast and agile and could easily get back up to speed after slowing down to dodge. That last 200m was a lot of concentration trying to work out where the trucks would end up. The last dodge over the train line was a case of throw it and hope as I couldn't see another way past the trucks. Was really good fun

What a great bit of challenging Hill Climb racing. My word, that second round was thrilling, especially with Alex's near-miss escape. But hats off to Shadow for that great victory in the first match, with that a sliding tactic.
What was the greatest joy to laugh at was the debris field when more players descend to take out those ascending! 😂
Finally get my new pc on Tuesday so cannot wait to get back onto beam, these videos keep me going and even more excited for it

a very good tactic is when there are multiple heavyweights two should hit eachother on the top of the, sort of archway to spray debre allover the road.

tip: I think you can force toggle the parking brake with the 'p' key or similar, unsure if it needs to be a specific gearbox setting

This mode reminds me of the old halo custom game where the top would be wraiths and such and you'd have to try and run up it as a Spartan and try not to die horribly 😂

Have you guys tested the trucks getting a 5-10 second head start so they're meeting the cars lower on the map?

this guy....lmao the only guy that is never in a gear...how is that possible???? You literally hit 1 button to move up and down a gear. I've never seen another driving video with anyone ever not in a gear... but this goof complains every race 3 times about how is isn't in a gear... At this point its just super embarrassing as a human
