The foil leader is not curling because it is foiled on both sides. The reason foils curl is because of the hot stamp foiling contracting as it cools. When you foil both sides it counteracts the curl on either side.
Did a search on Darth Vader 1/1 color proof BVG 8.5. I distinctly remember being outbid on it on eBay. That was June 2007. It went for over 300 bucks. The Skywalker from the same seller was a BVG 8 that went for over 1000 bucks. I bet those would go mid six figures or maybe a million bucks today.
Thanks for that really appreciate the explanation. Note that I think comparing the showcase card to a regular foiled card in Lorcana isn’t representative of the beauty Lorcana cards can have. It should have been compared to an enchanted card which would be it’s equivalent.
The fun part about Star Wars Unlimited is how each person can collect at the rarity they like the most. Outside of Legendary rare cards, everything should be pretty easy to find in 1-2 boxes for base rarity. Moving into Hyperspace and Foil cards will make building a master set harder for sure.
Some of our promo leaders were warped and others were straight. Not sure why they were so different, but at least not all the cards come that way. Leaving the cards in a toploader overnight helped straighten them out for us.

Showcase leaders have new art and foil on both sides of the card. They are the ultimate collector's hot because it uses full alternative art with a unique foiling! All of the coolest features :D
I dont get why hyperspace foil is still labeled as common. They are super hard to find so you'd think the common unfoiled one should have the foil version at uncommon or rare.

In the SW decipher sets we needed about 3-4 boxes to complete the sets. I guess now its more lol. Excited again for the first time in 20 years!

There is no comparison. Fab does some of the best foils. These are garbage, blinding foils that magic and several others do.
