- People's National Party President Dr Peter Phillips and Jamaica Labour Party leader Andrew Holness faced off in a 90-minute debate on leadership issues. So, who won? Host Neville Graham polls Dr Maziki Thame, Dr Yonique Campbell, Danny Roberts and Dennis Chung.

I don't think so I really think the two parties were match with the skill and the "knowledge" of the party but remember the PNP has the more older ppl voting for him

Andrew Holness won based on facts and stats regarding comparative performance. Andrew fell flat on the NIDS question though and Peter fell flat on the women in senate question.

I will not sit here and say Andrew didn't do anything.....But Dr.Phillips is far more ready for this task....The PNP over the years has done great things for the country however ppl fail to acknowledge them...Andrew made some good points in his opening statement which will result in him winning the first round.....But Peter took control and say hey look this is what supposed and how it is to be done and I think Dr.Phillips won

Peter did hold his own. So now in opposition or party leader he can show effectiveness. He can be PM but after his other term for Andrew. Can't have so many things in pipelines but not acting upon them. Let Andrew continue to do what he has in the pipeline and also whatever pnp had. Then after Andrew's second term he doesn't pass the batton to another party member. Vote him out no more decades in power or leadership. Pj use that opportunity to make Jamaica so heavily in debt.

How can you make judgement without fact checking. “Outside of fact checking?” It’s not okay to give false and misleading information and just by speaking in a certain way, you’re given points.
Phillips was asked softer questions.
Andrew was asked tough questions but he passed with distinction. Andrew was far more sincere in asking the people of Jamaica to relected his government who delivered and not just promise

Honestly I thought Andrew Holness would run circles around Dr. Phillips since he was younger and more experienced at Prime Ministerial debates. I was surprised for sharp and concise Peter Phillips was with his answers and rebuttals. I underestimated him ad I think Holness did as well,

The Gleaner is clearly a PNP supporter and the panel is lame and disingenuous in their critic. Let's help them out - the JLP provided roads to some communities which have not had roads for over 30 years under the PNP. Just on that alone they should be re-elected because roads have improve the lives of the people in communities.

Andrew put this foot in his mouth back in 2011. Now he knows he can't say certain things thus he's trying to not use certain words as the reality is clear yet ppl doesn't want that. I am still not clear on how the PNP is going to fund their give aways but I have more confidence in the Maths of Dr. Clarke to find the 30billion. I think finding 70b in a period of pandemic is stretching it a bit.
A very close debate in terms of who won but I would give the edge to the PM for sticking to things acheived and ongoing. Blaming the government for the most part of things the PNP should have done 18years ago doesn't make Phillips or the PNP the winner. Overall the JLP won at least two of the debates while I give the others as a draw.
