What do you think of this guy?? It felt good getting back to the monster universe! Who should I make next?
Follow me on Insta and Twitter: @aceofclay
You should 1000% do Annabelle!!
(And or Frankensteins monster)
I would love to see you make a clicker from The Last of Us
I think the invisible man would be a interesting challenge
I want to see mothman a classic
The invisible man with his sun glasses and wrapping around his face and trench coat would be such a fun sculpture!
It would be a challenge
This would be great
agreed!
That would look awesome.
A Sasquatch would be fantastic.
The invisible man would be awesome, Clay bandages and glasses over an "empty" inside that appears invisible!
Wrap it around a wax core then when you bake it, the wax melts leaving an empty area.
Thats not possible
Yeeeeeessss
@@razor8717 it is wax would work a really firm clay would also work I've sculpted entire structures from the inside up just use a really firm clay or something like wax. Though I've never used wax like this I've seen people who have, I prefer firm clay and tweezers and pre texturing the clay then manipulating it into shape
After reading a book, every Friday night my 5 year old son, Henry, and I watch you your videos. He wanted me to tell you "I like the clay guy, him makes cool stuff." Thank you for bringing him joy!
Make a leviathan, hydra, siren and the kraken aquatic creatures are so interesting to watch you sculpt 😍😍😍😍
Yessss!! 🤓🤓
I got a strong urge to say this idk who needs to hear it: take a break when you need it, don’t burn yourself out just to keep others happy.
Yep I know right
yep, we love u king
I agree...hes jumping through alot of hoops
I know! Right? 😄
You should make Quasimodo! The 1923 silent movie version would be right up your alley! Maybe you could even base the sculpture entirely based off of the little description in the Victor Hugo book!
Oh, gosh yes! Or the 1925 version of The Phantom of the Opera. People might not know it, but it was done beautifully in silent film, with lavish sets, and starring Lon Chaney as the Phantom. I guess he made the mask himself and kept it a secret until it was time to shoot the scenes.
Love it!! Great idea 💡
Cool, I would really like to see a sea serpent or any other kind of sea monster.
Good idea! We have Nessie, of course, and Champ from Lake Champlain, and the Pend Oreille Paddler (which I have actually seen) in Lake Pend Oreille, Idaho... Are there any others?
The Kraken with all its several varieties would be interesting.
Like posiden 🤣
Don't tell him I said that.
REALEASE THE KRAKEN PLZ WHEN YOU CAN
I think covering him in a glossy finish would’ve been a really good finishing touch.
Can you create yourselve as a sculpture?
I would love to see you do a Weeping Angel (from Doctor Who)
Igor would be cool! Servant to Dracula or Dr. Frankenstein
I would love to see you do mothman! He’s one of my favourite cryptids.
since you like to do movie characters you should do PREDATOR as in ALIEN vs PREDATOR!
love your work!
Hi Anthony, just wanted to say that you've got a great healthful glow in your videos lately. You always look wonderful but if you're doing something different, its working!
You should sculpt a Pokémon :D
how about a spookify version of a pokemon?
There are some freaky artist renditions of Pokémon in real life that are truly horrific. Would be fun to see a sculptured rendition of one of those.
Maybe mimicui
@ADRIAN WALKER dont matter
Yeah like armoured mewtwo
Those classic *Universal Monsters* are so fun! Kinda makes me wonder which ones are your favorites...
Not only is he good at sculpting, but he’s also good at painting it
I know right?
Awesome job!!!!! If you're doing classic monsters. Go with Jeckle and Hyde. You could give him two heads or just half and half face!!!!! He is such a forgotten monster. Love your work!!!
The family has been watching your videos for a few weeks now. Your talent is just amazing.
I love watching this as my first video on Saturday morning ritual with my coffee every week.
"A nice...exaggerated...aquatic-looking brow bone...whatever that means" 😂 I loved the first movie, so I was super excited to see your take on the creature. Awesome job!! That paint was poppin'!! Definitely one of my top fave sculptures, if not most fave, you've done (so far). ❤️
NOW it is officially Friday!
I LOVED THIS SCULPTURE! You captured the essence of this classic monster! I hope you enjoyed it as well. I am still a broken record requesting a nature spirit, a nymph or dryad, I also think any Lon Chaney monster would be a fantastic starting point for you to sculpt! I just did not want to wait to watch this video! Thanks Anthony, wonderful sculpting job. Great video too!
this is honestly the best face I think we've seen you sculpt. it's stylized and detailed in a way that is so expressive and interesting idk it's just real good
As someone who lives in the amazonian rainforest area, I can confirm that sometimes weird things emerge from the pitch black rivers and scare the sh*t out of everyone that lives here
Like what? I would love to hear more about it
It is very common to see massive fishes, stingrays, even anacondas and caimans if we travel during the night. Those creatures are usually very silent but sometimes they attack their prey and the noise startles us. If you want a little spook just google "caimans eyes in the dark". That is a sight that always scares me.
“A cross between a frog and a fish” I wonder how that would taste?
Sounds fishy
Yeah, it’s pretty fishy business 👀
So looking forward to seeing that!!
Yesss!!! I like water themed sculpts!! Some ideas might be like a sea wizard, evil siren, or swamp witch!
Your background tracks've been bumpin' the last few weeks!
I love him! You could have glazed him though to make him shiny/slick like an amphibian ☺
I would really love to see you to a series based on thirteen ghosts, with your Tim Burton flair
I love it when you do scary stuffs but put your own twist to it so it fits your universe. Keep up the good work.
Its great to see you sculpting a more dynamic pose with this guy, it looks so good!
Fantastic as always! How about "the Fly"!👀
You should definantly do more classic movie monsters! Classic Godzilla would be really cool!
I am so glad you are getting back to where your heart started out from!! You can see the difference in your work and the details Ace!! I really love your originality and detailed designs. Your original designs are so amazing and unique just to you.
I love your sculptures!
I love seeing the classic monsters. They don't get enough attention. And this guy turned out awesome!!
Lighting effects for the win!!!🌈⚡️👍
Very cool. Maybe make him look a little more wet. Also the scales in spots clearly look like overlapping circles. No big deal, just a detail. Thanks for all this fun!
The hopping ghost would be a really cool sculpture.
Ok, I know it would be outta your usual comfort zone, but like... Do you think you could do a pinup model girlfriend for the gill man? So like 50's style swimsuit with a big sunhat. I think the two of them would look cute together! And would be really cute in the stylized version of yours!
I recently discovered your channel and I have to say, your way of showing us how you did things, why you did that, and willingness to show the exact materials/brands you use for each part is so helpful. Thank you for making these videos, and please don't stop! They're so inspiring to fellow sculptors.
This would look good with a blue resin casing around it
Glub glub
I was thinking the same thing. How cool this guy would be with a base and an environment around him. I'm sure a lot of that is because Ace only has so much time in the week to sculpt, paint, shoot, edit, and do the actual video. It would still be amazing if he ever had the inclination.
The creature of the Black lagoon is my favorite creature out of classic movies I've watched!
Would love to see you sculpt a dinosaur someday.
I really love the creature from the black lagoon,
It’s such a great concept.
Finally!! Thank you so much for making him! And from the other suggestions the invisible man would be great!!
Gill man has to be my favourite out of all classic monsters it look great.
I've watched many of your past videos, and I've noticed that your narration has improved so much since then! Nice!
I think the MothMan or Jersey Devil would be great additions to your collection!
He came out beautifully as usual and you're so adorable. :O)
You never cease to amaze me and leave me spellbound watching you create. Thank you! BTW, it looks like someone's gotten some 🌞
Oh, he is so cool! One of the best ones you have ever done! I’m so glad that you have gone back to the OG monsters. The creepy pasta ones were good just not my cup of tea. Keep up the great work, I’m here every Friday night.
I love him so much! I think he is my new favorite!!!! He’s very cool!
Ocean man xD
Nice sculpture
So so excited you did him....Thank you
This was my favorite monster besides Godzilla...you definitely did him justice.....suggestion.....the Harpie from the Last Unicorn would be amazing as a sculpture!!
Your work is ALWAYS stunning, but as he's one of my favorite monsters, I think you absolutely nailed this one!! 💚
I would love to see you do a Minotaur or a Siren/mermaid 😍
Also PLEASE DO THE SLIT FACED WOMAN!
Gill man jumped off the movie poster and into your shop. Yours is better than Burton's version. Great job.
I call myself an artist, but are truely one of the best artists I have ever seen. Keep creating buddy.
I love this guy! Great job, Anthony! I especially like his paint job, you really made all that texture come to life!
I’ve been watching your work for almost a year now and though I’m good at drawing your work has inspired me to try my hand at clay. Thank you for the inspiration and the amazing work you do
I LOOOOOOOOVE this movie!
Thank you alot Ace !
You... You finally did it!!! I have loved watching that movie. You need to do The Thing next!
Thanks for sharing and caring! Stay Safe!
Love him ,loving all the detail on his skin and his fins ,really looks great !cant wait to see what’s next 😀
I would NOT want to make an encounter with this guy on my daily swim at the beach. 😱
Well done 😊🧜♀️
I think the lockness monster could be a fun challenge
Thank you for getting back to "real" monsters.
Jenny Corey Right? Those copypasta monsters are all so lame, just some guy wearing a hoodie. Not that the sculptures weren't amazing, but I much prefer the classic monster videos.
I agree their design isn't something to fawn over but the part about creepypasta characters that's supposed to be more interesting is the stories behind them
GENIAL!!!! me encantó tu técnica y el acabado final es impecable!
Looks good, I'm glad you added the dorsal ridge, otherwise he wouldn't have looked right.
His head is so detailed, I love it!
Very cool! I love how detailed your sculpts are! I’d love to see you do Godzilla and Mothra!
For the scales flattening and pinching alluminium tubes with pincers is a really neat and cheap trick to have different shaped scales
@aceofclay If you do the invisible man you should make him be unwrapping his head so you see it hollow from the top. That would be a new technique possibly by using a mold to bake and remove so it's hollow.
Best face you’ve ever done in my opinion.
The Phantom from Phantom of the Opera would be a great addition to your Classic Movie Monsters collection.
LOVE THIS ONE! I’m a big fan of the classics. Love your videos very much.
This is one of my favourites you've done. You outdo yourself with every sculpture!! Love the work, keep it up.
Every video we can see your skills increasing, every sculpture is better than the last, keep up the awesome work! Your sculpts are amazing.
Some part of me would love to see your take on a Yautja (Predator). Your style would suit their anatomy so much!
I recently watched one of your first videos and the difference in the closet from then to now is amazing ❤ I love the way you have it set up!
My favorite monster movie!!! YAS!!
A Minotaur would be pretty awesome to see!
I am an old B-movie buff, and I love your Creature. :)
Glad you went back to the classics. Great work!
I adore how he came out!
A glossy coat on this one would have been perfect. Really great sculpt
Always a pleasure to watch; never a disappointment. Keep up the great work/share!!!
The Monster from the Black Lagoon was filmed at Silver Springs, FL, right down the street from where I live lol.. A few Tarzan movies were too and the monkeys are still there and run wild!!
Great job again, Anthony!! 💖
Seeing your videos made me want to try it out. It's loads of fun and with your pro tips and tricks my first sculpture was pretty cool. I appreciate you sharing your craft with these videos.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaawesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😊👍
The Invisible man?
Good idea. But, how would he do that? It’s invisible :p (Not Being mean or judge mental.)
I love what you did with him, is my favorite movie monster!!
One of my favorites!! Looks awesome!
Yessss this is the stuff 😄😜.... what about creating something based off of a chupacabra?? Or another hybrid creature would be epic too 😄
Yes!
This was a nice addition to your collection. I would love to see your version of James Arness as The Thing from Another World. Oversized "intellectual carrot" with clawed killing hands in a space suit. . .
