I would never believe "train racing game" could be so nail-biting and intense to watch. I want so bad for this game to get a modern update, but not too modern, if you know what I mean. I want the graphics to be no better than a mid-tier PS3 game and just be anime as all hell. Go full-on crazy UI, over-the-top effects and announcer, show train engineer insert shots when there are collisions--give it the full BCV: Battle Construction Vehicles treatment. It'd be glorious and I'd buy it 3 times over. Goddamn if this wasn't one of your best episodes, and I say that having been watching you blokes for the better part of a decade.
@@ContinueShow You guys are awesome, also great hair both on chin and on noggins. I aspire to have a sweet wizard beard like Josh and Nick but sweet flowing locks like Paul.
Notes about the game: - When you get derailed, you have to wiggle the stick to get back on the rail - If you start accelerating right when the countdown finishes you’ll get a speed boost, which is really helpful since the trains accelerate so slowly - You’re playing on easy difficulty which makes it so you don’t get derailed if you lean too far on turns. On higher difficulties, you can’t let the balance meter go all the way to the side. Shifting weight helps, but it isn’t enough, so you have to slow down on turns. Figuring out how fast you can take a turn without derailing is a big part of the game. You can also ram into a train that is turning to make them speed up and potentially tip over - The announcer is listed in the credits only as “Shiggy.” He’s the best part of the game and I swear to god when you hit the force field at the end of a race (when you try to enter a station that another train is already using) he says “fuck this!”
We’re really hoping that someone local to the tri-state area opens this video and gets the WaWa free coffee ad that stars Matt Schmid. And then they see his new face in this video. If this happened to you please tell us
Try out Densha De D, effectively this, but a parody of Initial D and set entirely in Japan, an actual story to follow and, whilst less accessible being a Japanese exclusive, PC exclusive, the five games they’ve made so far are genuinely really fun
I honestly didn't expect this to be so good but I was laughing my ass off, especially in the last race. I'd love to see if any of those wild scenarios in the loading screens are available in the other modes.
Welcome to the kick ass, underground world of train racing boys! You are now officially the coolest RUclipsrs of all time 😎🏁🚂🌬 don’t be alarmed by the sudden influx of women vying for your attention. The ladies love us guys in the train racing community.. and you thought NBA players got the most tail?! Wait and see.. when you enter the sport of train racing be prepared, cuz you’re gonna be running a whole lotta trains if ya know what I mean 😉
Hold on, after all my 5-10 years of playing this game as a kid, how the heck did I not ever see/remember the tidal wave loading screen? I distinctly remember the rest, but I feel like I’ve NEVER seen that one! Also, funnily enough, that tidal wave one is the one that got me to realise these loading screens were fundamentally made to be extreme and stupid. The other 3 gave the impression of “here’s a cool loading screen”, but that one made me go “ah, the devs were legit having fun with these”
Now, not only do I have to by Sopranos: Road To Respect, but I gotta pick this up, too. Hopefully its cheap. You guys gotta check out City Crisis next. It just reeks of a PS2 bargain bin game, so much so that its just blank on the spine - it has no name on it. Guess it was too expensive.
I graduated college twice until I saw the new face. Now my college says I wasn't ever a student but what they said they referred to as a voluntary janitor. And by voluntary janitor they meant that I made love to trash in the dumpster. God damned new face ruined my life.
I figured this would be a terrible game, especially when saw the Midas logo, but it looks like it would be a blast to play. I remember Midas had something to do with some of the Dingo Pictures "games" or at least they rereleased them on other consoles or something like that.
This is wild. I need it. Oh, dangit - no US release. Emulation it is, I guess since I don't have a PAL or JP PS2. I'm really surprised this isn't a Simple Series game.
Josh got chunky... Nick got scrawny... Paul got Italian... I can't even tell if this is a bit or if that's Dom putting on a voice with a half-piece... What the fuck have I missed?!
This was the most fun I’ve ever had doing anything in my entire life.
Love you boys. :-*
This game is actually the sequel to the Japan-only PS2 title Tetsu One: Densha de Battle!, which features Japanese trains.

8:37 alternatively, enable the greatest technique known to train racing: Multi Track Drifting!
Euro beat intensifies
The pure joy in this episode is beautiful.

"the speed doesn't come from the track, josh." was the most dad tone nick Murphy has ever taken on the show
I did not expect a train racing game to be this good, takes being "on-rails" to the X-treme!
Try out Densha De D, effectively this, but a parody of Initial D and set entirely in Japan, an actual story to follow and, whilst less accessible being a Japanese exclusive, PC exclusive, the five games they’ve made so far are genuinely really fun
I watch you guys every week and this is the most naturally fun, funny, and exciting video you've had in a long time.
I used the level select screen for my latest album cover!
Whoa! That rules!
This is gaming comfort food.
Once you go train you never go plane.
I'm waiting for the day where we get the "You are about to see a new face" disclaimer and it's just Nick clean-shaven.
Matt looks like if Paul and Nick had a baby which was then adopted by Josh.
this was so freaking funny I just can't believe how out of the park you guys hit this with this game
The new faces have been great. I give them continue that spirals in from off screen.
When they were passing out brains, Josh thought they said trains, so he got on a train and went for a ride...
I honestly didn't expect this to be so good but I was laughing my ass off, especially in the last race. I'd love to see if any of those wild scenarios in the loading screens are available in the other modes.
I like how cramped you guys are on the couch with 4 people
I was tensing my whole body that last race, this game RULES
who knew train racing could be so exciting
Paul the xtreme train master. What a great episode
Nick mentioning the stats way late is so funny because I didn’t see them either. Hilarious.
Wow, uploaded a minute ago. I've never been this early for Continue!
Edit: there's gonna be enemies in a train racing game? This is an instant classic
Hell yeah! New continue? Shit it ain't even Christmas yet and the gifts are flowing!!!!😁
5:30 and I am still stonewalled trying to think of what the hell train racing is! Great video lads!
This was so hype for no reason!
I loved the weird edit in the very beginning
Really trippy
Ah, yes. Other Area. My favorite of the Earth's three and only continents.
Wait, have I been seeing Matt in Wawa commercials?
last episode had too much gabagool in it
this episode didn't have enough gabagool in it
when will the balance of gabagool be struck?!?
10:50 Joshs exited WOOOO is one of my favorite things in all of Continue?.
Been relistening to pretend friends season three, definitely needed some Continue? to make this week extra good
Oh snap, I've been relistening lately too!
I thought this game would go off the rails, but it looks like it’s on the right track to success. 👍 #TrainofThought #JusticeforJosh
C'mon N' ride the train...and ride it! C'mon N' ride train...and ride it! C'mon N' ride the train (it's the choo choo)...and ride it!
this was the most fun had on rails since the disco scene in 70s new york
I'm so glad those trains were fictional.
Train-racing: The Ultimate Contest of Man
I appreciate the fact that Canada is represented, but the old CN Rail engines look more like what they gave Illinois.
Now I wanna see these lads play Densha de Go and it ends up a complete disaster since it's all in Japanese. 🤣
I can't believe there's actually another train racing game that's NOT based on Densha De D
Josh sounded like a british Homestar in the intro

I prepared myself to see a new face and it did not work. You'll be hearing from my lawyer.
We all know what must come next
BATTLE CONSTRUCTION VEHICLES!!!!
BCV!!!!
Such a great channel
This was fucking incredible, I might have to purchase this game now.
i am pre-resilient. I know these new face warnings are not directed at me.
You can never overmeat
Dayum, get me a ticket to ride on this amazing trip

Is this the same announcer as Super Monkey Ball yelling at you to slow down???
Anyways, great episode boys!
COME ON RIDE THE TRAIN
My one Christmas wish is for another fantasy fiction episode. Or at least some answers!! Why?!?! WHY MUST YOU GIVETH AND THE TAKETH AWAY
I was watching the Hooters Road Trip episode when this popped up. We were cruisin in the Cuva and pow, Continue? notification.

I thought name suck. Train race idea for racing su led. BUT then saw y'all playing. Now on Ebay hunting for my PS2 collection 🤣🤣🤣
I graduated college twice until I saw the new face. Now my college says I wasn't ever a student but what they said they referred to as a voluntary janitor. And by voluntary janitor they meant that I made love to trash in the dumpster.
God damned new face ruined my life.
This game is train racing......TO THE XTREME!!!!!! Not sorry for that.
I figured this would be a terrible game, especially when saw the Midas logo, but it looks like it would be a blast to play. I remember Midas had something to do with some of the Dingo Pictures "games" or at least they rereleased them on other consoles or something like that.
that intro was great, some people do get irked or triggered when somebody new comes on. mainly gf's cause a lot of people don't have them.
This is wild. I need it. Oh, dangit - no US release. Emulation it is, I guess since I don't have a PAL or JP PS2. I'm really surprised this isn't a Simple Series game.
What happened after the warning in the beginning, Josh clone?
No!
Definitely Real Josh (hehehe)
I wanna hang out with continue in Philly
Where do you guys find these games?
But seriously though, what was up with those loading screens? Are those real stages?
THIS IS WHAT I WANT TO KNOW TOO
woah they said my name :o
Josh got chunky... Nick got scrawny... Paul got Italian... I can't even tell if this is a bit or if that's Dom putting on a voice with a half-piece...
What the fuck have I missed?!
The warnings are the best
