Wow that’s still quite a sum even in India. It’s about $141k SGD here. Yes car taxes here are stupidly high. No good roads and u can forget about maxing the car out as long as you’re within SG’s borders

Its a VW with skoda branding. Hence its VW standard if you ask me. Audi is in its own class no need to compare. My regular audio guy tells me this stock skoda has better door insulation compared to VW though. But it looked the same to me, maybe coz i compared a Mexican made jetta to this.
Yes it's A Skoda. It was never trying to be a VW. However with its parts, engine and transmission coming from VW and Audi and with a host of workshops in SG specialized in VAG cars... No need to fear getting it and then no support...

Its like saying its a lexus not toyota hahaha. When all tech are the same. Skoda and vw even more similar. If u drive one u will know the similarity. Theres nothing on the car thats not shared with its sibling VW

Judging from the mod list and base car price, he has probably spent enough to buy a gti. But now he has something faster and more spacious than the gti

is the gearbox DQ381 or DQ500; as mentioned earlier?
It is a DQ381, used on the S3, and Golf R.

It's comparable to a VW Golf or Jetta. My guess is that same materials and sound proofing technique used.

Untested and unproven on this car. Can try asking audi S3 owners with the same gearbox setup.
Btw it's a Wet clutch 7 speed DSG. Used by Golf R and S3..

It’s 40k cheaper than the GTI, more powerful and more practical.
For the price of a GTI I can get an RS245 and a 7 year old Jetta.
