    Amish has been described as ‘India’s first literary popstar’. His unique combination of crackling storytelling, religious symbolism and profound philosophies has made him an overnight publishing phenomenon. His six books till date are The Immortals of Meluha, The Secret of the Nagas and The Oath of the Vayuputras, which collectively comprise the Shiva Trilogy, Scion of Ikshvaku and Sita: Warrior of Mithila from the Ram Chandra Series, and his first nonfiction book, Immortal India - Young Country, Timeless Civilisation. His books have been translated into 19 Indian and International languages. The Shiva Trilogy is the fastest selling book series in Indian publishing history. Scion of Ikshvaku was the highest selling book of 2015 while Sita: Warrior of Mithila has been the highest selling book since its launch in May 2017. Amish is the recipient of several awards including Icon of the Year Award 2017, the Raymond Crossword Book Award, the Dainik Bhaskar Literature Award and the Pride of India Award (Literature).
    Samhita Arni is the author of The Mahabharata: A Child’s View, New York Times bestselling graphic novel Sita’s Ramayana and The Missing Queen. Arni was a screenwriter on the feature film Good Morning Karachi and the head scriptwriter on The Defenders, a TV show in Kabul, Afghanistan. She writes regularly for The Hindu.

In conversation with Samhita Arn i, he discusses the power and wisdom of myth and the constant need to reassess and reinterpret it. Arni wrote The Ma ha bha rata : A Child 's View when she wasjust 12 and is the author of the graphic novel Sita 's Ramayana and The Missing Queen ,a speculative fiction mythological thriller.

An annual event that goes beyond literature, the Festival has also hosted Amartya Sen, Amitabh Bachchan, the late A.P.J.       A Krishna Trilogy is being written by Sanjay Dixit.
      Krishna Gopeshvara is available on Flipkart, Amazon and other such sites.
      Krishna Yogeshvara would be out soon (around November 2019).
      Krishna Gyaneshvara is yet to be written.

      You can also read main Krishna hoon by Amit Trivedi it's a seven series book ..and it is one of the best books ...must read..hare Krishna

    Well said about ideal state, state must do small things like provide healthcare, good education, law and order... Must not interfere with society like beef ban, religious subsidies etc.
    Unfortunately BJP is also trying hard to maintain caste system based on birth.

    Amazing that the audience are not readers of their own literature..... sad reflection on their education..... so much wealth of literature.... the greatest and most diverse in the world ..... they know little about their own inheritance

      I was actually so impressed with how many people in the audience had read the (very lengthy!) epics, and the many who were familiar with the very specific details related to ancient texts - in the questions that Amish asked the audience. That so many people attended this talk shows for me a great interest in and enthusiasm for the ancient literature of India, especially among young people today!
