It depends for me, if I think it’s going to be a long time poking then I do hide it off to the side. If it’s a big team fight then I will use it to split their party.
Source: getting Lord tonight. I like to use them for that on Domination, but I’ve found it’s less effective on payload because the payload can move pretty quick. Might be better at higher elo idk I play a lot of QP. This strat is overrated imo but it’s still not bad and I like it on Domination.

@@sethneel6209 while it can be used for that, it has 700 HP, you just can't ignore that, you have to mostly use it for blocking off healers' LoS etc and they were running triple healer with 2 divers (unless star lord isn't considered dive) so they wouldn't be able to fully take advantage of the overshield because groot wouldn't have any ranged dps near him to proc it.

Ill like it, but you really need to start putting down your iron wall and attacking enemies to get the extra health from your passive. Great job though. Love groot, he is the only tank I find to be fun.
Throwing Groot's ball on full health enemies is kinda useless ngl. A lot of times you trapped the enemies with the walls and you wish you had your ball ready. Its better of using when you trap someone, finish low healths and when ulting

don't forget it has 700 HP so it can be used to block enemy healers' LoS and they can't break it easily unless they have a ranged dps near

I usually use it to block the enemy tanks off to prevent them from getting heals, the iron wall has the most HP so it takes the longest to shoot out
