    The city as limitation! What a brilliant insight! Improvisation explains why I need to learn foreign languages and I change radically when I live in places where I can’t use the language as fluently. Oppositional friendship! That is marriage.

    Rowson is intellectually sharp and he seems to have a little "heart" gap between the words and the "sentiment". I wonder if there is a violence in him that is unembraced? Mark Vernon has the quality of questing/curiosity that indicates an open heart....
