Not worth the risk. Health is far more precious than meters. 😉
I used to do some crazy things at work when I was younger. No health and safety whatsoever- until I broke 4 ribs falling off the ladder. It could have been worse, though. But this didn't teach me, as I still believed that nothing would happen to me- until I lost my eyesight. You will find it hard to believe (long story), but I was completely blind from multifinish. Two months of darkness and unbelievable pain and 6 months till complete recovery. It was 50/50, and I made it. Since then, I have taken all precautions, and (touch wood) I haven't had any incident in 15 years.
Take care
Ur 100% buddy thanks.
I’m assuming you didn’t wash it out your eyes with clean water when it first happened?

It's a very long story.
It was a Sunday, and I was on site by myself. I used to look after the security at the gate to let me in. Small site, no one cared as Lon as the job was done quickly.
I was plastering the massive ceiling on the stilts so the gear was very runny. I was moving the trowel towards my face and I wobbled and a massive splash went all over my face and into my eves.
I fell on the floor injuring my knee and elbow. I couldn't see sh...but I managed to find a bracket with dirty water and started washing my face. I couldn't open my eyes as it was hurting so much. I was blind and didn't know how to get out of the building to find help. I managed to find my phone and dial the emergency number. I told the police what happened and they called the ambulance and informed the security.
The tube was striking that (huge traffic)day so it took them 1.5 hour to get to me. They took me to Charing cross hospital, another hour. By then my eyes were bleeding 😞
They realised that I am in the wrong hospital so they took me to the Marylebone eye clinic. At the point I had the plaster burning my eyes for around 4.5 hours.
Long story short, after the emergency treatment I had to go through the extremely painful recovery. It was 50/50 if I am going to see again, and made it without any loss of vision. I never went back to plastering again, only small little jobs, sometimes, but I always wear goggles.
bit risky mate doing it this way. id of done three boards making a platform and put some 18mm board over the top like obs or ply or something to give it a good platform to use a stepup on or your beer crate. good work tho
Cheers buddy yea needed danger money for this 1 lol
