We have some more content coming out soon that will make this clearer. In short, we learned A LOT from the last few years of comp development that WE WILL USE in future designs. This comp was a proof of concept where we went all out on the manufacturing and finishing to see what was possible. We wouldn't make THIS comp THIS way again, so that makes it unique. Rather than mothball these, we wanted to find out what people think and reward them with a piece of JP history in the short term if they're truly excited about it.
Same here. Personally I'd go for a Precision Armament Hypertap at around half the price. Actually in production and they sure look similar. I think the JP might perform a tad better with the design on the center of the baffles, but it's way into diminishing returns.
For the last 30 minutes I’ve been trying to rationalize the exclusivity of this product from the companies perspective. The only thing I can think of is that they plan to eventually release more and/or charge an insane mark up for them.
JP, clearly you don't understand marketing and apparently your marketing group doesn't either. If the comp is that good let me buy all 130 along with the design drawings and I'll make a living. And while where at it. Reduce the jp5 by $1k and you'll move 3x as many units.

I'm a comp nerd and would have to try this if it where a regular production item. The idea of it being a limited run thing is a huge turn off.
💯 % agree. Don't phish people into buying a product.

Looks like a couple of comps the ATF is going after currently they are calling supressors because you could potentially slip a tube over them.....
price?
Is there a .30 cal version of it ?
Just the .223 for this release, but we're iterating on this design approach for future releases.
ATF Trap. Buy now, go to prison tomorrow.
It's supposed to be great but it's a limited amount made? That's so dumb that I'm not going to buy anything JP from now on. Ridiculous.
Agreed! Their marketing is pathetic and jp has no idea.

Given their massive success as a business, I think they do understand marketing and the economy.
