Chicken Tractor, 🚜🤔 Learned something new today 👍 Back on granddad's farm it was free range chickens during the day and back to the coup for the night. My job was the chicken herder.🐓🐓🐓
Can think of a couple of improvements for the next one: on the tow rope side, cut the front bottom corner off each 2×4 runner, get over obstacles easier, maybe add some kind of skirting for uneven ground that the runners would leave a gap for hungry ring tailed critters to take advantage of, something with a decent weight of course. And, maybe some wheels off the back, barely off the ground, lift front a little, wheels contact the ground, making it more transportable.🤔🤔🤔
I know I know it doesn’t make good video but when moving chickens to and from the tractor it’s a lot easier to do before daylight when the day comes for them to be butchered go out before daylight lift the hole tractor off of them they will just sit there and you can put them in the tote or whatever you are going to use to take them to your Processing area It sucks getting up early but has its benefits. But I’m sure you knew all this anyway
Great idea and looks like it works out perfectly! 😊👍❤️
Thank you! It meets the need. Necessity is the mother of invention, right?
This is great. I have never seen an IBC tote converted to a chicken tractor.
Well thank you. I just try to utilize what I have on hand, as best I can. God bless.
I still say some green paint and few decorative scrolls is in order. For some chicken classing lol
yes sir. Spring Green, to be specific.

Yes sir. Predator issues around here make it nearly a necessity

That’s a great point. It certainly does help to do it that way. Thanks for watching. God bless.
Looks great to me. Paint it to look like a semi truck with the two smoke stacks. lol
Ha. That's what Eli said, "What's with the truck stacks?"
First cut on the tank: my DeWalt and 2 big ole 3amp hr batteries 😂 wouldn't have made it past the second turn 😛🤔👍
That makita did great. I have been quite pleased.

Thank you. I hope so. God bless.
Nice! Now do these stay outside all the time or do you have to herd these guys back into a shelter at the end of the day?
They stay in that all the time on the grass.
Nice job
Thanks. It worked for the time being.
I may have missed this but how many birds you have in one?
We were able to easily do 15-20
