I have a Jeskai humans deck I went heavy on Generous Plunderer with and employ some similar strategies (amp his damage with Taii Wakeen and Roaming Throne). Love this build and he's a real sleeper if you aren't paying attention you can find yourself with a full chest of treasure at the bottom of the sea.
I love to play control and sometimes I have to think. That game you featured was painful and there is not really that much to consider. It is bad enough to wreck other players hopes to play their decks and stop them from doing what they want, but to sit and rope them for no apparent reason just makes control seem all that much worse and disliked. I have run into players doing this and it seems that their strategy is to take as much time as possible until the other player leaves the game and they get the win. Not at all playing the game.

plunderer is amazing. helps prevent critical mana issues. and the menace makes him a real stomper if not timely dealt with. nice bloodletter combo
