Hi hiii~~~ thanks for commenting! So I haven’t had time to make videos yet but sure, a vibrato video! I’ll keep it in mind! Hmmm due to the price, I do not disclose the name/place of my violin to anyone. But I’d be happy to help you look for a better violin! May I ask how much your current violin costs? I will send some links in a few days! I also believe even a school violin should sound equally as good. It depends on the person playing :) please do not learn vibrato unless you have a solid foundation!
@@jellylei Hi, thank you so much for replying!! I am not sure I the cost of the violin but i believe that all of our violins are supplied by Ted brown music, and yes i do have a solid foundation. I have been playing for about 5 years and i was never taught vibrato at school so i thought I'd learn it on my own.
@@JC-re3yo I make sure to reply to everyone haha Ahh~ I like you. Someone who decides to take matters into their own hands about learning. Join the “not taught vibrato in school” club. My school didn’t teach it either and I never got private lessons. I had to learn myself. 5 years is good! I’m more comfortable knowing you can choose your own from what I provide you! I’ll try to make a video before summer ends about vibrato! For now, please check out Shar Music! www.sharmusic.com/Instruments/Violin/ You can see on their website, they have “intermediate”, “advanced” and “professional”! My violin in this video would be considered highly professional… but I didn’t get my violin from here. Though Shar is a company I suggest and rate highly. (Shar, if you see this, pls sponsor me lololol) I don’t know how old you are but a five year player might mean you’re in middle school or high school? Size 4/4? I’d suggest an intermediate violin. Please only get an expensive advanced or professional violin if you 1, have enough money and 2, you’ll pursue violin in the future. I went through high school with a highly advanced violin. But I think intermediate can be just as good. Please check out the prices. I hope you have a case and everything? So you don’t have to spend extra for rosin and stuff. You just need the violin. 👍🏻 Here are my suggestions from Intermediate to Advanced!: (Apologies, I should have asked if you have a budget. But from top to bottom it’s intermediate to advanced.) $950: www.sharmusic.com/Instruments/Violin/Intermediate-Violins/Carlo-Lamberti-174-Symphony-Violin.axd $1100: www.sharmusic.com/Instruments/Violin/Intermediate-Violins/Carlo-Lamberti-Classic-Violin-4-4-Size.axd $1500: www.sharmusic.com/Instruments/Violin/Intermediate-Violins/Carlo-Lamberti-Master-Series-Guarneri-Violin.axd $2000: www.sharmusic.com/Instruments/Violin/Advanced-Violins/John-Cheng-The-Paganini-Stradivari-Violin-4-4-size.axd $3750: www.sharmusic.com/Instruments/Violin/Advanced-Violins/Ming-Jiang-Zhu-Workshop-Conservatory-Violin---4-4-size.axd I did not bother looking at the professional section. But if you’d like my take on it, I can check it out for you! Also if these are too highly priced, please tell me so I can suggest something a bit lower! You may notice all the violins I picked are brown. I admire brown violins more but it’s personal preference, if you’d like to check out the red ones they have. Also please understand I am assuming highly of you and your skills. Please check out sizing, pricing, and whether you can commit to your instrument! It’d be a waste to leave it to collect dust 😊🎻 Any other questions or concerns, please tell me! I’d love love love to help you! 🥰

It is just so nice that u r still replying to the comments 🖤 and thank u so much that was super helpful and I am a beginner xD it helped me so much🖤 keep it up this way u r great Ps: u should consider creating a TikTok it works so much for violinists :3
Hello! I replied but I guess it didn't get sent. Thank you so much for noticing that I still reply to comments. No one really comments anymore so anything makes me happy. I'm glad my tutorial helped you! For now, I'm not planning on making any more tutorials due to not enough time. I do have a TikTok! www.tiktok.com/@jellylei_? I want to try doing small singing covers on there. I'm still not sure yet though. Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to comment! I really appreciate it :)
I dug out a precious mozart violin of my father down at the storage room. Shame it wasn't being used, I only play like guitar type of instruments. Thanks for this! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*.✧ you gotta new subscriber, all of these tutorials here are complicated this is the one for me
i read through the comments and seen the links you provided to purchase a good quality violin. thanks for being so helpful! my question is what would an adequate violin size be for me? i’m 4'6. im a rather small person and i don’t think a full size violin works for me. (I’ve tried playing one before but it’s too big for me)
Hi!!!! Thank you so much for reading before asking! Or, I saw both comments haha but thanks for commenting! I’m glad I’m able to help! So unfortunately I can’t tell you where I got my violin but Shar is a good place to go! If you type in “violin music store” and where you live, I’m sure something will also pop up! How old are you? Will you be growing anymore? If you grow more, you will most likely end up with a full 4/4 violin sooner or later. You must have gathered that I am five foot four and I use a full 4/4 violin. If your arm reach from your jaw (where you hold the chin rest) is 23 inches or longer, you might use a 4/4. If your span is shorter than 23 inches, you’ll probably use a 3/4. Another way to test is to hold the violin with your chin and stretch out your arm toward the scroll. If you can wrap your hand around the scroll from the bottom, try it on a larger size. If you can do it to the larger size, you need a 4/4. If you can’t, stay with a 3/4. Ideally, I think if you’re older than 15, I think you need a full size violin. If you need more clarification, please tell me! I’ll try to look up sources to help you further! 😊
It's ok! Just use open string! There are a lot of people who still use open string. And anyway, if you can't reach, maybe you should have a smaller violin? 🎻 And if you do practice enough, you will be able to reach it! Good luck! 🍀
@@jellylei hey- I was wondering if you had any recommended violins for beginners, possibly? I really want to start but I can't find any good violins with reasonable prices :[

Hello! I'm so happy you're trying to learn the violin!! ruclips.net/user/violinlabvideos I highly recommend this violin channel! Along with this, you can probably search up violin scales and practice those every single day. Practice fluidity of the bow. Don't forget to practice in front of a mirror to make sure posture is ok! There are definitely a lot of resources out there on RUclips so make sure to check those out! For my video, please follow along and pause! I think you can do it!! If there's also anything I can do to help, I'd love to! Good luck!!
You're probably referring to a comment but I can't be sure. T_T)/ The amount of time and dedication to put into a violin would be quite a bit. It's something to commit to. Is there a budget you can work with? Depending where you live, you can probably find some good sales online. I can help you if you'd like to know more! Also, thanks for adding me to your playlist. OMG haha 😂🎻
Lol so many people asked and hopefully I will really soon! I’ve just been a bit busy so I haven’t had time to make videos at all 😭😭 Not sure my vibrato is up to par anymore. But for sure! I’ll try to make a video!
Hi! I just tried the link! It still works! Can you try clicking again? I will try to re-upload on 4shared in a second. Please check in about five minutes!
hi! just wanna ask something, I'm just a beginner and my violin is on tune but it really sounds so low, do you think there's something wrong with it? Thank you!
hello! 🤔 hmm… really low… hopefully you didn’t tune an octave lower? I won’t really know unless I hear it for myself. If you’re comfortable showing me on Twitter on Instagram you plucking the four open strings, I’ll be able to tell you if everything’s ok. Though if you can tell in my video, I do pluck the strings quite a lot. Is it not the same when you try to pluck along? 🤔
@@jjaureenm Cool! That makes it a bit easier! I live in the US too! So since you're probably a beginner, is the violin something you want to continue to pursue? If so, I'd suggest a range between $300 - $900. I do not suggest anything lower than $200. I'm also going to assume you're tall enough so the size I'm recommending is 4/4. When you hold the violin, stretch your left arm and your hand should be able to reach the scroll of the violin. That's when you know you fit the violin. I'm also 5 ft 4 inches. I use a 4/4 violin. Shar Music has really affordable violins: www.sharmusic.com/shop.axd/Search?keywords=violin&pageLength=36&sortBy=PRICE_ASCENDING&Filter_Size=4%2f4&Filter_Instrument=Violin&Category=1297 You can browse a little bit to get the feel of what you want. I'd suggest something like these which come with the violin, bow, rosin, and case: $389: www.sharmusic.com/Instruments/Violin/Beginning-Violins/Franz-Hoffmann-Vienna-Violin-Deluxe-Outfit-4-4-Size.axd $815: www.sharmusic.com/Instruments/Violin/Intermediate-Violins/New-York-Philharmonic-Violin-Outfit---4-4-Size.axd $1,450: www.sharmusic.com/Offers/Instruments/Carlo-Lamberti-Classic-Violin/Carlo-Lamberti-Classic-Violin-Outfit-4-4-Size.axd It's personal preference but I really like brown violins. I don't like red ones lol Please keep in mind that while the $300 violin, bow, rosin, and case is cheaper... then it's not going to be as good a quality of a violin as the $800 one. Sam's Ash is...... ok..... if you can't find anything off Shar: www.samash.com/violins/?krypto=QfCxxfEVn8XvrHAhDqRYWEgGaCWjghI%2FNinT1WFpg%2F0rcVe0tsvEgfZU%2BjvB%2BXc2elDIPKnrMl9MlSdG%2FPN5VNpkphQhALh%2BOwiaTBlXaElkpJ5jFcnY0jdE5PU9gxPD Just in general, I wouldn't suggest Sam's Ash but if Shar doesn't have what you're looking for, try Sam's Ash. Those are the staple. Occasionally, Amazon can be alright...: www.amazon.com/Louis-Carpini-Violin-Outfit-Size/dp/B00DMOKSEO/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=violin&qid=1620839242&refinements=p_36%3A1253549011%2Cp_72%3A1248939011&rnid=1248937011&s=musical-instruments&sr=1-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyT0VLWVpJWDg4Wlc1JmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNzkwNTIzMUg0NkEzSTlIOEMwMiZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMjM0MDAwMU1BQjZITkNBWUxGRiZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU= But Shar is my go-to. Shar is good. Shar is all knowing music base. haha If you search "violin music store" where you live, I'm sure maybe a store can pop up! Check that out too! If you'd like to know more about the more expensive violins (like the one I'm using), please tell me! But as a beginner and to see if you'd like to continue playing, I'd suggest those violins above! If you have any more questions, please ask me! I'm on all my sns almost always! Thanks so much for commenting! I hope you find something you like! Fighting! 🤩🎻
@@jellylei Thank you so much! I was browsing on Shar for one and I think I found the one I like. I really appreciate that you took the time to type all of this, it helped a lot! 😁
Please do not spam comments. I read through every comment and reply to every comment. I have decided to stop making violin tutorials because I am a cover channel. Not a tutorial channel. And it took two years for this video to get into the YT algorithm. People learn and run. They don't sub to me. These sheets were also from someone so if you want to know more, I would suggest checking out the person who made the sheets. I do not want to make a tutorial from someone else's sheets anymore. I'm really sorry but I do not think I will be making anymore tutorials or giving out sheets. In the future, this might change if enough people sub and stay. No one stays. That being said, thank you for watching and commenting, and I'm glad this video helped you learn.
Sorry, this is all I can do. I don’t make tutorials anymore and I don’t remember this song anymore either. Please learn slowly from the beginning. I would suggest pausing after each line and maybe writing it down. Good luck 🍀
Usually there’s tapes for those starting to learn. As you get older and play a lot, you just know where the pitch is and you can remove the tapes. Vaguely, you can put your finger some place and it’ll be quite close to the note. Lol does that make sense? I’m bad at explaining haha
@@jellylei that helps i came also from string instruments mostly e guitar and bass i just cant get a grip on how u guys blindly place ur hand on the fretboard without actual fret that's so cool
@@Dustin-cm2bh Even better if you know guitar! So imagine playing guitar your whole life and then someone removes the frets! I’m sure you’d still be able to play songs embedded in your fingers! It’s like that for violinists! 🎻🎸
I don't believe it should be played in the first position. Those B-flats and F's at the nut are ugly. Yes, you got the melody, but the sound is not the same.
I don’t think so either. But people are beginners and this is all they can do. Beginners should learn up to the shifts. Especially if they’re an adult and pick the violin up now, I believe it’s best for them to get to know fingerings and notes as soon as possible. There’s no need for someone who does know violin to look at this tutorial. Such as maybe you if you know how to play violin. And these sheets are not mine. The person (A. M Sparrow) who made the sheets put in fingerings in too. I explained it a bit in the beginning. Thanks for your feedback.

Can you please do a vibrato tutorial?? Also where did you get your violin? I have a school one and it's okay but it's not the best quality so it sounds eh mediocre 😅
@@JC-re3yo I make sure to reply to everyone haha
Ahh~ I like you.
For now, please check out Shar Music!
www.sharmusic.com/Instruments/Violin/
You can see on their website, they have “intermediate”, “advanced” and “professional”!
My violin in this video would be considered highly professional… but I didn’t get my violin from here. Though Shar is a company I suggest and rate highly. (Shar, if you see this, pls sponsor me lololol)
I don’t know how old you are but a five year player might mean you’re in middle school or high school?
Here are my suggestions from Intermediate to Advanced!:
(Apologies, I should have asked if you have a budget. But from top to bottom it’s intermediate to advanced.)
$950: www.sharmusic.com/Instruments/Violin/Intermediate-Violins/Carlo-Lamberti-174-Symphony-Violin.axd
$1100: www.sharmusic.com/Instruments/Violin/Intermediate-Violins/Carlo-Lamberti-Classic-Violin-4-4-Size.axd
$1500: www.sharmusic.com/Instruments/Violin/Intermediate-Violins/Carlo-Lamberti-Master-Series-Guarneri-Violin.axd
$2000: www.sharmusic.com/Instruments/Violin/Advanced-Violins/John-Cheng-The-Paganini-Stradivari-Violin-4-4-size.axd
$3750: www.sharmusic.com/Instruments/Violin/Advanced-Violins/Ming-Jiang-Zhu-Workshop-Conservatory-Violin---4-4-size.axd
I did not bother looking at the professional section.
It’d be a waste to leave it to collect dust 😊🎻
Any other questions or concerns, please tell me! I’d love love love to help you! 🥰

i read through the comments and seen the links you provided to purchase a good quality violin. thanks for being so helpful! my question is what would an adequate violin size be for me? i’m 4'6. im a rather small person and i don’t think a full size violin works for me.
I’m playing this at Halloween with my white violin and my secret cosplay hehe… I’ll post my video on it mwhahahahahah
Can you please put the sheet music in a pdf if possible? Thank you so much for this tutorial as well, you are awesome!
when your pinkie is small and you can barely make a 4th finger E
It's ok! Just use open string! There are a lot of people who still use open string. And anyway, if you can't reach, maybe you should have a smaller violin? 🎻
And if you do practice enough, you will be able to reach it! Good luck!

Hello! I'm so happy you're trying to learn the violin!! ruclips.net/user/violinlabvideos
I highly recommend this violin channel!
Good luck!!

bro if only i could afford a violin 😔👆
You're probably referring to a comment but I can't be sure.
T_T)/ The amount of time and dedication to put into a violin would be quite a bit. It's something to commit to.
Is there a budget you can work with? Depending where you live, you can probably find some good sales online. I can help you if you'd like to know more!
Also, thanks for adding me to your playlist. OMG haha 😂🎻

hi! just wanna ask something, I'm just a beginner and my violin is on tune but it really sounds so low, do you think there's something wrong with it? Thank you!
hi i know i’m super late but do you know where i can buy a violin? also thanks for this! i’ll use it later in the future :>
Hi! You aren’t late! I’d say you’re just in time! Do you live in the US? If so, I can send some links!
Thanks for checking out my tutorial!
@@jellylei Yes, I do actually live in the U.S!
Shar Music has really affordable violins: www.sharmusic.com/shop.axd/Search?keywords=violin&pageLength=36&sortBy=PRICE_ASCENDING&Filter_Size=4%2f4&Filter_Instrument=Violin&Category=1297
You can browse a little bit to get the feel of what you want.
I'd suggest something like these which come with the violin, bow, rosin, and case:
$389: www.sharmusic.com/Instruments/Violin/Beginning-Violins/Franz-Hoffmann-Vienna-Violin-Deluxe-Outfit-4-4-Size.axd
$815: www.sharmusic.com/Instruments/Violin/Intermediate-Violins/New-York-Philharmonic-Violin-Outfit---4-4-Size.axd
$1,450: www.sharmusic.com/Offers/Instruments/Carlo-Lamberti-Classic-Violin/Carlo-Lamberti-Classic-Violin-Outfit-4-4-Size.axd
It's personal preference but I really like brown violins. I don't like red ones lol
Please keep in mind that while the $300 violin, bow, rosin, and case is cheaper... then it's not going to be as good a quality of a violin as the $800 one.
Sam's Ash is...... ok..... if you can't find anything off Shar: www.samash.com/violins/?krypto=QfCxxfEVn8XvrHAhDqRYWEgGaCWjghI%2FNinT1WFpg%2F0rcVe0tsvEgfZU%2BjvB%2BXc2elDIPKnrMl9MlSdG%2FPN5VNpkphQhALh%2BOwiaTBlXaElkpJ5jFcnY0jdE5PU9gxPD
Just in general, I wouldn't suggest Sam's Ash but if Shar doesn't have what you're looking for, try Sam's Ash. Those are the staple.
Occasionally, Amazon can be alright...: www.amazon.com/Louis-Carpini-Violin-Outfit-Size/dp/B00DMOKSEO/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=violin&qid=1620839242&refinements=p_36%3A1253549011%2Cp_72%3A1248939011&rnid=1248937011&s=musical-instruments&sr=1-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyT0VLWVpJWDg4Wlc1JmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNzkwNTIzMUg0NkEzSTlIOEMwMiZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMjM0MDAwMU1BQjZITkNBWUxGRiZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=
But Shar is my go-to. Shar is good. Shar is all knowing music base. haha
If you search "violin music store" where you live, I'm sure maybe a store can pop up!
Fighting! 🤩🎻

Could you put the notes in the comments bc it’s really hard for me and it would help me a lot, ty.😭❤️
Sorry, this is all I can do. I don’t make tutorials anymore and I don’t remember this song anymore either.
Please learn slowly from the beginning. I would suggest pausing after each line and maybe writing it down. Good luck 🍀
@@jellylei Okay thanks anyway!
I don't get the pov of violin there's no fret
