Jorge Martin definitely has a lot on his plate with Aprilia, and it's clear that he won so much largely due to the sheer performance advantage of the Ducati. Without superior machinery, it would have been a much tougher battle for him against the rest of the field.
Now that Marc Marquez is on the 2025 Ducati, I believe he's going to dominate. With his skill level and superior machinery at his disposal, the rest of the field is going to have a tough time keeping up. It's going to be an exciting season.

Rossi made a mistake to join Ducati becaus he hated Lorenzo to see his Yamaha results being open in both Yam stables Rossi couldn't fulfill his Ducati dream, where Stoner blinked out

Yup, I believe MM wants the last laugh.... if Rossi had only just raced his own races in 2016.... he would have his lady championship against the very best... but Lorenzo and MM knew Rossi would beat himself so Rossi got baited...😅and he bit......

I didn't agree with Ducati's choice of Marquez ahead of Martin, simply because Martin had proved his ability and loyalty to Ducati over four years, whereas Marc had only ridden a Ducati for one year, and didn't win very much, albeit on the 2023 bike against 2024s. Martin has taken a chance on Aprilia, but I think his seemingly rash move, encouraged by his good friend Aleix Espargaro of course, is understandable, given the way Ducati failed to reward his years of dedication by going for a 'bigger star'.
Jorge will find it harder to dominate as he did in recent years (especially in Sprints) yet it will probably still be in the Sprints that he will be more competitive on the Aprilia, with less laps to lose seconds over. But he is unlikely to be able to manage the sort of consistency he showed over his time at Ducati, as the Aprilia isn't quite there yet - only at certain circuits. But we can be sure that if the Aprilia has the potential, Martin will find it, at least at some venues, like Catalunya.

Ducati must be willing to go down the development cul-de-sac that Marquez will take them down. The Ducati might well end up like Honda.

Marketing and branding. Ducati will be sorry. If Marquez was that good of a development rider he'd still be winning on a Honda. Not like Honda can't fix something .
Who really has the dream team Aprilia has the current Moto GP champion and Moto 2 champion.
Look how Ogura is besting veterans at the Sepang shakedown.

@ongandy760 I wouldn't go as far as "Destroy" Ducati because I do believe he will Win.
Ducati is Big & diverse enough that they don't have to rely on Marquez for development & pretty much everything like Honda
He will be difficult to beat though once he gets used to that 2025

Marin may have forgotten that Marquez competed against him with a bike 1 year older and technically inferior than Martin's bike. Furthermore, Martin has shown that he could easily crumble under pressure, and that's how he lost the 2023 championship to Bagnaia. In contrast, Marquez has already won 8 World championships to Martin's one. In addition. The injuries that Marquez sustained are always a huge factor in Marquez' performance and yet he remains very competitive attesting to his skills and natural talent, and he was able to adapt to a new bile within the year that he was riding for Gresini. Would Martin even be able to be competitive if he were in the same situations as Marquez? I highly doubt it. In total, it was an easy choice for Ducati.

Ducatis arguments are holding water. MM is the right choice, though JM would have been a good choice too. The difficulty of being able to pick whoever Ducati wants, a luxury problem :-D

JM has already proven himself in the development pipeline of bike building with ducati and performs at first or second fastest pace in the grid. MM is a complete unknown and was selected off potential. Potential is not always realized. Where would MM go to challenge ducati? Ducati made a bone headed choice with no reason to

NOT a fair assessment. Marquez was NOT on "The Best Bike / Ducati". He was on the year-old a ( 2024 ) Bike. Which undoubtedly had a DIS-advantage. As far as the decision itself ? Well since this is at its heart, an "Entertainement Business" & Marquez is Far more famous & has a ton of Championships, Nobody can argue that going after Marquez was the more sound & safe financial decision. But I must Disagree with the part about Marquez ability to Develop the Bike. He had the Largest & Most Successful Manufacturer on the Planet ( Honda ) following whatever he said & building the bike around him & his style for many Years. Only to see the Honda fall farther & farther behind . To the point where he was Forced to leave due to the Honda becoming Far to Dangerous for him to ride any longer. MARQUEZ DID THAT ! Yes, that's right ... Marquez DID THAT to the Honda. But either way ... I certainly Do Not believe that Ducati made the wrong decision. Marquez on the Best Bike ? ? If he is behind. He won't be too far. Not for Long. But we will see VERY SOON !

MM Wasn’t responsible for Honda’s lack of development and complacency, he papered over the cracks of the piece of crap they produced and was the only rider capable of riding it even though it damn near ended his career!
