Hi! I just recently came across your video when I was on RUclips pondering about how to manage my time in trying to generate income. I’m an 18 year old senior highschool, and I live in a country where part-time jobs are not offered to teenagers like they do in America haha! The kids in America have no idea how lucky they are honestly.. Despite their complaints. So I’ve pretty much turned to freelancing, though because of school it’s been on a pause. And even considered developing certain side businesses. I’ve always had a passion for Entrepreneurship (I was once in an Entrepreneurship program where I led my team in my school to innovate a product with international marketing and sales), and I can tell someone like you.. I actually really admire people who rebel against the system. That’s a true Entrepreneur spirit if I had to be completely honest haha! Especially you mentioning not wanting to work under people. But back to the point, this video popped up at the right time for me. I’ve been stressing on how to fit in Freelancing, with my last semester in highschool, and also preparing for intense university entrance exams. I feel like I have to take responsibility to generate income, as my parents don’t make a lot. And this concerns me if they’ll have to go into debt just for me to go to college.. I don’t want that at all. I feel that many people (including me) can be ambitious, but then once we burn out, we fall. And it becomes this cycle in a sense.. To the point where I’m just trying to figure out what’s wrong with me, or how I can be more disciplined.. Or how I can be consistent.. I don’t have to be the smartest but I do want to be the most consistent as that truly brings in results. Thank you.. Eclipse (?) if that’s what your audience calls you. I’m going to push again, and make it work. To actually be serious on freelancing, while striving to be the top of my class, and enter a great university.
I do think American youth are actually aware of how privileged it is to be in America and the opportunity it comes with..that could be a discussion for a whole other video but I see! That is very noble of you to consider your parents and you seem to not take that for granted. Having both parents is gold and not everyone including myself was fortunate enough to have both growing up. Good luck you seem to have a good head on your shoulders and I wouldn't worry about debt so much. Not trying at all I think is the worst thing you can do
