Just picked up the very same watch and I can tell you it is just as stylish as it is rugged! Thank you for the honest review and for showing true life video images of the watch on your vacation!
Oh I didn’t realise. Love all the elevated details on this one. It pushed it over the edge in terms of wearability for me. As much as the orange is iconic, I would find it harder to wear throughout the year. This just fits nicely whatever the situation.
Great to see you back making full length videos. Doxa the one brand I 'need' 😅 in my divers collection. Must admit like the size of this model (can do the big boys as got a 7 1/4 wrist) getting to enjoy smaller watches. Torn though between the classic orange and the emerald (versatility +) great to see it in the outdoors n sunshine and although my outfits differ a bit from yours😂 given me an idea how it will wear. It's on the radar for next year's summer watch (save the pennies n wait for a local AD to stock it so I can compare to the sunburst orange) thanks Sophie.
Oooh sunburst orange is a great choice! You definitely won’t be disappointed. I’m really tempted to add this one to my collection too. But just bought the BB54, so will have to see if I really miss it before I take the plunge 😂 ❤️
Awesome Doxa Sophie . I just recently purchased a Seiko SLA047J1 Marine Master 140th anniversary limited edition with a green dial . Green dials are awesome 🤩
And now I want a doxa for my holidays! Great video, liked the little history section, am also a Dirk Pitt fan. Interesting content, not sure anyone else is occupying this space, love seeing the watch outdoors, rather than the usual studio lights. Also, more bikini shoots!😮😂 That aside, real life experience with the watch makes the review more credible, great review!
What a lovely thing to say. So glad you like what I’m doing. It’s so important to get properly hands on with a watch to see how it fits in with daily life. ❤️
Perfect watche if you have budget for dont take care of your watche,i like to have nice watche for everyday and an other for special ocasion ,sport, expedition ,adventure withiut trying to protect him...but in my case its a casio😊
Hi sophie , great review! . Do think this could work on a six and a half inch wrist ? Im a little concerened to the dial is really small . Many thanks James
Hi James! It definitely would work on your wrist size. It would give a sleek vintage aesthetic and probably dressier feel. I have a couple of male friends with a similar size wrist who own this watch. 6.5 inches is a size that can pull off most watch sizes 👏🏻. It’s all down to preference. The larger Doxa’s would work too. But there’s something so lovely about the size of this one ☝️
Hey Sophie , thanks for the taking the time to reply. There all good points , I was looking for more of a tool watch than a dressier watch . My current watch is the Seiko willard which I wear with no issues . I love the small size of this doxa but was concerned it looked more pretty than tooly lol .
@@boston961 I wouldn’t be concerned with that at all. Doxa IS the tool watch. Obviously an emerald sun burst dial automatically makes it a little ‘fancier’ looking. If you go for a Matte colour dial it adds to the toolness hehe! I like the Orange and the black dial versions for this reason too ❤️
@@boston961 I’m not sure of the exact measurements of the dial only, as I didn’t measure it when I had it on loan. Not sure if that info is on the website.
I didn’t actually check that watch down to the second, but it was definitely keeping time. I’m going to see the Doxa team this weekend. I’ll ask them about the accuracy and get back to you.
Hmmm i like it, i like the range and the history, however think its a tad expensive for an off the shelf movement with only 38 hrs power reserve.... that's always put me off!
Nick, that is part of the attractiveness. Every time I have had to send my Submariner to the Rolex service center, I have to spend a pretty dough and wait a couple months. With this one, my local watchmaker can either do maintenance or change the whole movement for a couple hundred and less than 3 days. Bear in mind, I think in every household there is space for both a sports car for fun and a truck for duties😅
Just as well it’s only your opinion which is mind bogglingly ignorant. Where what you love. Watches are about wrist size and what works for your wrist. Not about gender for goodness sake!
Think you’re being a little over dramatic about the clasp I have to say 😂. I thought it was really clever how you don’t have to take it off to adjust. Have I seen better? Yes. But not at this price point with this innovation.
I lived with a petite woman named Michelle in my late 20s and developed a fetish for women wearing chunky oversized dive watches. It's a fetish to this very day. I think she had an Aqualand. It's maybe a weird kink. Don't judge me. Great video! Doobidoobidoo!
@@Sophies-watch-world I've given up on automatic watches for the time being because I'm doing Garman but I've learned to really love the no date Marathon quartz Pilot's Navigator with the tritium. It could not get more tool watch and still be analog if it tried. The only watch more tool is the G Square. GW-5000
Finally a watch review in which I can see the watch being used in daily life. Love it!
Thanks so much! Means a lot ❤️

Great video. I think the green is the only one that has applied indices - looks much better imo.

Thanks for sharing your real-life stories with this watch. Helpful 👍

So sweet of you ❤️
Great video. Now I’m rethinking Doxa
Aww thanks so much. Not surprised though. Doxa is awesome!
It’s such a cool watch. There’s no confusing a Doxa with anything else. Love the green dial. I’ll get a Doxa eventually. 😊
Absolutely agree! You definitely won’t be sad having that icon on your wrist ❤️

Ahahaha me too! Thanks so much!
First of all, lovely shot! :)
What sort of accuracy / performance are you getting from the watch please?

Right I have the info. So accuracy is average +/-7 secs a day but max is 14secs a day ❤

Thank you! ☺️
It reminds me of the Bulova Oceanographer.
Really? Doxa pretty much just looks like a Doxa to me! Hehe ❤️
They do look similar now that you mention it!
@@johanvandersandt8904but the Doxa Dive Sub watch came out in the early 70s and the design has stayed pretty similar. Hence the retro vibe.

Ah sorry you feel it’s too big. I loved the size, but definitely wouldn’t say no to a couple of mm smaller either!
It’s a gorgeous color. Looks real good. I still think it’s a little big for your wrist though. Sorry 😢. Still subscribed.
Thanks for the sub! I really loved the way it looked and felt.

But... What about that gigantic clasp? It does not fit the watch at all: too big for that slim and slender watch head.
