Bro, you gotta give Nazo’s animation/animatics a chance. The animation is a classic and the animatic is sort of a narrative sequel. Also, I wouldn’t mind character specific episodes.

BUT there is a more modern way of experiencing it and it's with the Stickman animation style remake by DXAnimations, which is AMAZING. It keeps every single one of the story beats with some added flair of the Stickman fight genre, so you might wanna give that a shot if anything.
