Here's another fun superhero video tutorial, revealing how we did our recent "walking though a magic portal" effect like Marvel's Doctor Strange!
Various youtubers have tried the portal effect before (like Cinecom and Action Movie Kid) but we took the effect further by using real camera movement, with the shot following me into an entirely different location in one take. See the finished effect here: • Stepping through a POR...
This is a little similar to our Ghost moving though door effect, and our window smash effect done in one single take (or at least made to look like a single take!) and for once, this one DIDN'T happen with a green screen!

Hi i am from Bangladesh
Fantastic work!! The blend of the two shots worked out really well
Haha! It’s nice seeing you guys working with him! (I consider sponsoring someone as collaborating with him. I know I’m weird...)
Hi, please how can I get those effect
@@esmave-fifiart8770 go to the production crate website
محمد طط
خخخخ
At first I thought this was going to look corny, but I got to say it's really well done. The extra effects really make it believable enough to look at without being distracted.
Great work. I just started learning After Effects. I don’t expect this level of expertise in the next decade, but it gives me motivation. 🤣
Absolutely...
As clear as mud and as natural as a hair on a biscuit.
Anyone else get a little moment of sadness when "Turbulent Displacement" was used and no song played... 😂
Wild stuff! Way above my production capabilities, hah.
That car moving across at 9:05 adds such a minute layer of authenticity. Like, hey it's not just a freeze frame, this is a real world being opened up.
Exactly! Was gonna say just that!
You are my favorite RUclipsr💛
I like this skill so much but I don't have a good computer to install in the program .However, I still try to watch your good video to make my new knowledge for one day I can do too.
Only problem is the portal changes position when you walk through it, a 180 turn around would have helped it, but the effects are still really great overall, and you did a great job blending the shots.
your channel is gonna explode in the upcoming months.
it's already exploding
no
Your tutorials are brilliant. Both educational and also entertaining. Thank you :-)
Wow! The editing was neatly done. Awesome job! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
You are a Natural Bro
this is crazy i am just getting into editing i been scratching the surface with filmora for about a year now. watching this whole thing just fried my brain lol but you do some amazing edits
Another masterpiece! Thanks Steve!
Av watched a couple of premier pro tutorials and yours seem to be the best cos you go straight to the point and aslo make things easy.
I wish I could come to understudy you
i love how you put a ton of works and it's still look low budget.
Great work! Always seems like you’re pushing the limits of filmmaking.
You've really got amazing skills, and break it down to seem so approachable. Definitely think it would be worth it for you to put together an online course that we could pay you for.
I would love to see that happen!
Yes indeed and when I screw up I can say "what did I pay you for"????
am Also ready for that skill learner.
5:53 WHOA THAT LOOKS COOL
I Watched this effect before but I couldn't have an idea how to recreate this effects thanks Steve for showing us some behind the scene magic cheers
Thanx bro love from India🇮🇳
That's awesome!! I love the problem solving you come up with. Well done!!
Always blown away by the effects you create
I love production crate
This is great stuff. You should send some finished clips to Corridor Crew, show what a few people in their garden can do.
I'm trying to make a video similar to this but I can't even get the rotoscope tool to work right and I can't find the freeze button. I've been stuck on this part for the last half hour and I'm getting really frusterated 😭😭 This is my first time using this software. I usually use other ones but I really liked this tutorial.
It's really great. The only thing that's disturbing is the position of the horizon line (tree line) relative to his head and the garden wall ( 9 minutes ).
This is epic thanks, these new skills are going to make my videos look even more epic! ❤
Love the explanations how movie stuff works.
sir what video apps are you using...
Awesome. I like how you explain and get someone to understand the effect.
, , ,nice sir.thats great ....thanks for the tutorial...😊
Your editing is mind blowing 🙇
That blows my mind, great job
this is too dope, I love it. im tryin out how to do the portal Thanos came through in Infinity War. You got a sub!
Looks like allot of fun doing this!
Your videos are so cool, I just got into photo manipulation and now a want to try video editing.
Amazing effect
I like it
बहुत ही मजेदार

Mate...Im using this....if you dont mind. Its fantastic..!!! Thanks
With the things you teach us we could make a whole movie 😆
You are Gooooooooood !!!!
gosh, wonderful
Thank you mate. Your videos are always amazing! ♥
Dude these effects are awesome
Great job on this man, came out really cool! 😎
This is great! i love how it worked out. One thing that would have pushed it over the edge and made it perfect is some parallax on the freeze frame that is on the other side of the portal. Kinda like when it closed up- but in post. BTW I am really good at knowing how to make things look better but I don't know how to actually navigate the software.
This seems very complicated he’s a pro at this
Yes and you dont even need much gear! Only tripods, DSLR camera, lightings Adobe package, website subscription. Cheap
Nice Hollywood effects
I was going to add this effect in my latest video
Thankyou bro 👍🏻
Good work man👏👏👏

This is incredible! Even though you could have done better to blend the two shots together! You can do better and I know it. But it still looks beautiful
Easy as that!
