ABOUT BUZZ LIGHTYEAR
This is a manmade Zombie version of Buzz Lightyear. As soon as I saw him, I just knew that I needed to save and repair him.
THE RESTORATION PROCESS
Buzz Lightyear was in very bad condition, so I started out with disassemble him into approx. 250 pieces. There were A LOT of tiny parts, wires, screws, and plastic pieces so it was quite an advanced repair. I cleaned all the parts and luckily the man-made apocalypse decorations were easy to wash off. I sandblasted most of the plastic parts with virgin Sodium Bicarbonate.
I airbrushed all the parts in original Buzz Lightyear green, purple, black and grey colors. And everything was painted two times with a gentle grinding in between.
I wrote to Pixar and they were so kind to send me a lot of well needed spare parts, stickers, a new upgraded head and some infinity power batteries. I even got myself a Toy Story hat. Thanks 😉
This was a very special restoration for me. I really like all the Toy Story movies. I think they are brilliant and somehow encourage hope into peoples lives. Buzz Lightyear, Woody, REX the little aliens are some of my favorite characters in these movies. Thank You Pixar for a wonderful story and fantastic animations ❤

They were machines designed to carry harmed/deceased soldiers in the pre-war to medical research facilities but long time without those suits cause it to malfunction and find a host (deceased person or decaying) then grab nearest weapon upon seeing any living thing and attack it... Literal zombies...

I have watched this video again and I’m still amazed by your skill and ability to bring Buzz back to his original self. I know that some are saying they like how he looked before the restoration but to me he’s completely vandalised and trashed. You have done him a huge favour by restoring him to his space ranger style given him back his dignity.

Great job on restoring Buzz. I failed to see why people deliberately destroy toys and turn them into freaky Halloween toys.
But I'm glad you took the time to fully restore him and turning to his former glory instead of just throwing him out.
I like to restore things to. Even if it costs me a bit more money than what the things worth. I don't care I like to restore things and not just throw something out. When with the little elbow grease you can restore it and use it and bring it back to life again.

The way he was before restoration almost made me think of him being a new Freddie Fazbear's character. Another animatronic that can kill the night guard with a jump scare.

@Si Ro surely not. It's part of the visual quality of awesome restoration. He makes art with videos doing restoration. He's a great silent storyteller, video edits are really fine to catch the details. It seems easy, but requires a lot of experience and study about how to record and proceed.

This man IS Sid, but after what happened at the end of Toy Story, he grew up and dedicated his life to restoring inanimate objects

during his most recent encounter with Evil Emperor Zurg, Buzz suffered severe injuries from the villains ruthless Ion Blaster tm and had to be rushed back to Star Command for intense surgery. Parts of Buzz’s suit had melted to his skin and had to be surgically removed. All seemed lost for Buzz until a research from sector 4 arrived with a cure. A special anti bacteria that could be used to help rebuild muscle tissue.
As awesome as the repair was, and it was awesomely restored, the damage looks deliberate like a rusted plastic game boy sort of look.
I like to think that once he grew up, Sid from the first film restores broken toys in a similar fashion to the person who made this video.
Would be awesome to have him appear like that in the next Toy Story movie, if there ever is one of course.

I commented on another video that are easily one of the best on RUclips at what you do. After seeing this and the Woody repair, you are truly the best. Amazing attention to detail and your so passionate about it. All the little things, like the faces that you add in when your sand blasting.
