I have 2 Venus trees in Central Florida and I wish I had more. They are actually more of an August fruit for me. This is the first year I have used the stainless steel bags on the fruit and the squirrels have not been attacking my Venus. I still have 5 large Venus on the trees as of August 26th. Multiple of my fruit this year have been over 3 pounds. I concur that the flavor ranks at least a 9. I treasure every fruit. They are the only mango that I will ever fail to eat the entire fruit in one sitting. I also have found that they do well spending a week in the fridge after they are ripe. They will be keeping me happy into September. And they are quite precocious. I have had multiple potted Venus trees also give fruit as 2 year old trees.
Occasionally one will split but no disease issue for me at all in Miami. Very productive mango as well.

I just had one tonight. OMG juicy, extremely sweet, 1% sour tart, extremely heavy and big.
Nice. I’m glad I have the tree. My tree was holding on to a couple but they dropped early. Hopefully next year is a better mango season
