It's July 2024 and your Monstera care tips are still relevant. I'm facing problems with my Monstera. The steam seems to be smoosh. It was a gift from a friend for my birthday. I'm searching on how to fix it. Will jump on your next playlist. Wish me luck. Huge fan from Malaysia 🌿
I love these great informative videos on all the commom houseplants, good job :-) How about make a video of how to put a monstera to a moss pole properly and make it climb?
I picked up a juvenile monstera and it's quickly becoming my favorite, its latest leaf is about the size of my hand out stretched. I suspect it will start fenestrating soon.
These new quick tips videos are fantastic! I watch your channel religiously. For your consideration, quick tips for: 1) Fiddle fig leaf (in addition to your original Ficus Lyrata:) 2) Selloum Philodendron (in addition to your general philodendron video). This plant seems trickier to me than recommended. -> I have mine next to a Calathea Peacock. I consider them both in the same category of care. Many thanks!⚘
Thank you for some really useful tips! Just wondering if you might ever be willing to share what your business is, or any people on your staff, or perhaps what your environment looks like there in Sweden 🇸🇪 I live in Arizona. I imagine our outdoor environment is extremely different. Just a thought. Your plants are always so beautiful 💚🌻🌿🌷 Thank you for sharing with us.😎🌵
I have had mine's for approximately 6 months and I now believe that it's veriagated because now it's producing leaves that now are coming out with almost leaves with stripes my Monstera is doing very well and also I have recently repotted it I keep out primarily outside in bright sunlight eventually I will purchase 2 more they are amazing plants thank you for your amazing video
First of all.... love your channel. Clear, concise and thorough information. And a friendly delivery. Who could ask for more?! But I'm going to ask anyway. lol. I'm one of those aroid lovers so am ever hopeful that you will cover more of those in your videos. One of my chronic obsessions is the Monstera sp. Peru. Have found videos and articles on its care but they are somehow lacking in details that I'm hoping for. I need to "up my game" on this beautiful plant! Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you for all your hard work!!!
Hi! I was wondering if you think foliar fertilizers are good for plant growth and health? Also, is neem oil mixture ok to use to make the leaves look shiny or can it be damaging? I love and always follow your channel, hello from LA! ❤️
Hello, I recently found your channel and I enjoy watching your videos. Can I request a video about the Alocasia Silver Dragon? I will greatly appreciate it if you will make one. Thank you!

I have 2 mature Monstera and the parent plant is REALLY living up to it's name! I haven't transplanted in a couple of years and plan to soon...It is huge so I have to psyche myself up!! haha One funny thing is that I moved some 8ft indeterminate tomatoes into the room about 3 feet from the Monstera. I SWEAR that the Monstera is reaching toward the tomatoes! 🤣 Does it want to climb the tomatoes? Or kill them? Hmmmm🤔😬😄
Greetings from Germany. I like the consistant branding, be its from the business or what. it gives it a preffesionalism and credibility. being from europe we place a lot of value on acredited qualifications, for better or worse. i wanted to follow on other social media. but there are no links in the video description, not channel about. i know its a tiny effor to use duckduckgo. but its that 2 click extra effort. ps. i looked for SwedishPlantguys and the insta didnt show up. i had to search on insta itself. but duckduck found FB
Great video! When repotting a deliciosia, should we use a nursery pot and a cover pot, or is it okay to plant directly into a cover/decorative pot? An answer would be extremely helpful, looking to replant mine soon. Thank you!
hi, I live in Italy and I see this plant everywhere in people's terraces and balconies .. For me it is wonderful to say the least .. I wonder if you know it or you know it. It is called pale trandescanzia also called misery .. tell us a little more about her. Thank you very mich .
I want mine to get even larger than they are now but, I do take a couple starts a year from it. Will this prevent it from becoming larger or just trim it down in size as I go? I am currently having to repot and stake mine as they are growing out of control. However, this is just whar I want. Can I take starts as I please without stunting the growth ability of the plant or will it stunt it?
I got a damaged plant from a big box store. After massive pruning and repotting. It finally is unfurling and has fenestration. I hv waited very patiently to see it fill out.
I received Monstera from a friend of mine, they had too many plants and it wasn't doing well so I kinda rescued it. The good thing is the plant started growing new leaves as soon as I brought it home, the bad thing is the previous leaves still drooping and one of them has brown spots and drooping more through time however it still maintains green and doesn't turn yellow for some reason. I still think it's dying though, should I just cut it off?
I would like to know from an expert if a skylight that has UV protection is good or bad for plants. My Monstera Deliciosa has changed it's growing pattern by all leaves reaching out from under any other leaf to get to the sun. Lots of new smaller leaves on the bottom that are pale. I read on the internet that plants can go well in a uv protected window but I need confirmation if that is so. Is my skylight now consider producing low light levels? Thank you for your help.
Hey, I have a double pot system with a side-hole and 100% pumice media for my giant monstera deliciosa. I have no water problems... But how often should I fertilize it since the media contains no organic or minerals? Thanks in advance for your reply
Hello I know this has been a year. I just bought my 3rd and sadly my other 2 passed. I can't figure out why this is happening. This last one i just received in the mail it's so many uncovered roots all at the top. It's as if there was no roots at the bottom. I am thinking they throw this in a pot of dirt and sell. It's sad because it's so cold here right now and I know im unable to replant this. I've got to do something because when I took it out of the box mostly more then half of the leaves and roots was black hard crispy and black and the soil soaked. I've not given it any water but I'm not having any luck. When I first get my plants I never put them in a bright area at first from being in the box so long, this took a long time to get to me on cold and warm weather. I'm prayingin able to help this. BTW the other 2 that died wasn't anything to do with me. I think some of these places throw plants in pots with no root system because they know its going to take a bit to die. Please help me. Id love to show you a picture of my plant. Thanks you're truly the best.
Hi, I am from India. I have monstera plant from around 3 to 4 months but it is still same and no growth at all not a single leaf i have already repotted in well drained soil but still no help. Plant is placed in well indirect light with daily misting on it, can you please help
The monsteras you have there are not Monstera Deliciosas. They are Monstera Borsignianas. One way to tell is to look at the stem. Deliciosas tend to ruffle, pucker, or form cute little bumps where the leaf attaches to the stem, but borsigniana does not. Borsigniana is also smaller and grows faster than deliciosa. Mature plants usually form two neat rows of holes/slits instead of growing holes in a more willy-nilly style like deliciosa.
My large Monstera (Sulley) is shooting out baby leaves, and he already has large, fenestrated leaves! Can not figure him out. I moved him outside, because I thought he might want more light, and nothing has happened!
Hi, love your videos. I am going you can help me. My monsters is yellowing, stem and leaves. I am crying 😢 I am very worried about it,. I have asked three experts what I should do, what is going on and all three said something different. I live in the Mediterranean, I have the monstera outside. Direct sun only till 9 am. But it is particularly hot this year. Please help. ❤️ I'll post photos of I can find a way.
I heard recently , Feb 2022, that house plants don't really go dormant in the winter. I noticed my Monstera has new shoots. Yes, the growth is slow, non the less, she is growing. She's a baby size with a pole. No new shoot coming out sideways , unfortunately. I was surprised since it's winter here in New England, but there she goes. I asked Monstera what she was doing but she stayed mum!
They go dormant. They don't go completely dormant however the growth is considerably slower. They actually start active growth (as the light changes) in late Feb going into March. By March you should see active growth in all your houseplants
Can anyone help please? My monstera cutting with nodes has been in water for 3 weeks but no roots yet. It's been in bright indirect sunlight all the time. Filtered water is changed every 4 days. So worried 🥺
Thank you very much! staring at my MD right now... 👀🌴
