I totally agree. I wish David Gilmour would have his entire 1984 Hammersmith Odeon concert released on DVD Blu-ray along with the videos Blue Light and All Lovers are Deranged and the 30 minute documentary Beyond the Floyd.
Wow! Just WOW! Will never forget the show, but more importantly, I'll never forget the music and the experience. Sober the whole show and actually remember it,
This version is 80s-tastic with its Keytar solo and additional shredding. Not necessarily bad by any means, just different and certainly "of its time"!
2:44 I didn't know Mick Ralphs ever played in a band with Gilmour. Chris Slade lucked out, Gilmour and Page both phoned him the same day and Slade got to drum in both projects.
Oh, jesus. I was there for this! Nick Mason joined the David Gilmour band for the encore! Hang on. That's not Nick Mason. Was there more than one night?
@@sham9505 Yes. I remember Chris Spade playing for the main set. I thought Run Like Hell was part of the encore. Muddled memories of 40 years ago. I do remember nearly passing out when Roy Harper walked on for Short and Sweet.
Maybe Dave had different lyrics for that part? It is his song after all. I'm sure David enjoyed any dig at Roger in 1984. You know the original '79/'80 Wall Tour with those 2 had to sound worthy.
He got That wrong and he realize it its noticeable in his rection while hes singing his second verse David didnt wrote this tune thoug he compose the músic for it... Sometimes David messes up the lyrics and there are videos on yt of various eras when we can see David Messing up with lyrics... David Said in an interview That Rogers lyrics are very complex and sometimes is hard to remember especialy when the tunes were fresh... Afterall David is our God but he is a human being... Hes a very perfeccionist performer no doubt but sometimes mistakes happen even if from the great David Gilmour

Dave will forever remain Pink Floyd's vocals and guitar... ⚒️❤️⚒️
He sure sure sure WILL !!!! ROGER MESSEDDDDDD UP leaving Pink Floyd and Mr. Gilmour !!!!!
What a version of this song !!! Mick Ralph , Chris Slade pounding them drums , killer synthesizer solo !!! David knew how to make it sound Good !!!
One dislike? David Gilmour doesn't get dislikes, just people who are drunk with double vision who accidently hit the wrong button.
Since your comment, Roger has made two new fake YT accounts and been drunk with double vision.
Who ever give him a dislike don't know diddly bout music!!! Me putting it lightly!!!
That dislike could have very well come from David himself. From most reports, he'd like to forget he made "About Face."
This is the best live version I've heard of Run like Hell
I totally agree. I wish David Gilmour would have his entire 1984 Hammersmith Odeon concert released on DVD Blu-ray along with the videos Blue Light and All Lovers are Deranged and the 30 minute documentary Beyond the Floyd.
I literally ADORE this man!
❤️ 😊
Me too
Me 3
Messed up the lyrics at 2:00. David smiles soon after ...

Chris Slade from The Firm! No wonder he looked familiar. Excellent song and one-of-a-kind guitar work - thanks for posting.

David. Musical purist as always...
Love Waters, Love Gilmour

Que som ! Magnifico esplêndido
Looks like a great gig!
Best wall songs are Gilmour’s, comfortably numb, run like hell and young lust!
Indeed
Run like hell duet sounds better with waters and gilmour
hmm...one of my turns, nobody home, and in the flesh part 2 are pretty damn good too...the combo is what made them so great
Chris Slade on the drum ... "Run Like Hell" to "Highway to hell"
Fodástico !!!
Been looking for this clip for a long time, awesome, Mick Ralphs on 2nd guitar (Ex Bad Company)!!!
Them some tuff drums !!! Don't see how Chris keeps from breaking them cymbals and beating holes in the drums !!! He's beating the heck out of em !!!😁
David nested up
I kept wondering why this video looked weird, then I realised, he's not playing a telecaster
Run like hell...
WITH THE STRATOCASTER >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> WITH THE TELECASTER.
Oh, jesus. I was there for this! Nick Mason joined the David Gilmour band for the encore!
Hang on. That's not Nick Mason. Was there more than one night?
Nick Mason only played on Comfortably Numb. Chris Slade played drums before the encore.

@@alstark64 haha, I wish I was there. No pun intended.
It's a bit strange : Gilmour playing Run Like Hell on his black strat ! It should be a Telecaster !
right
Bet he could play it on a yellow submarine and it would sound just as great! 🤓
Je suis allé me renseigné chez Fender .Elle coute près de 2000 €, c' est bien une Black Strat
David wrote Run Like Hell just so ya know
Je rectifie le tir c' est une StratoCaster .
Odeon
a keytar......so 1984
Désolé , je croyais que c' étais une Black Strat !
Oh Dave messing up Rogers lyrics

David wrote this song
@@peateargriffin7593 Not the lyrics. Rogers wrote all the lyrics on the wall - and for every album back to DSOTM.

The guitar part on this tune is the only thing that redeems "The Wall"...
+Kevin McKee What about Comfortably Numb's 2nd solo? That is the greatest solo of all time!
I don't care who wrote this fucking song, but it works only with Roger Waters
fanny
About Face is one of the worst albums ever made. Sorry but the truth hurts.
I respectfully disagree. There's some good stuff on it I'd say.
