I have the 45s of "One Of The Living" and "Don't Cry"! I play the digital versions of them regularly! 😸
Speaking as a kid from the 90s who LOVES 80s music and pop culture, many of these songs I know and love, but a few of them are ones that I've never heard of.
85 here, we're probably close in age. I remember A LOT of these from soft rock or pop radio in the 90s (and MTV for the harder ones)
There must be a reason why most of these songs are forgotten and I know most of these artists, these are the only few songs that I know of and still listen to..
8. Telefone - Sheena Easton
13. No More Lonely Nights - Paul McCartney
15. Electric Blue - Icehouse
26. Boys Do Fall in Love - Robin Gibb
29. Holding On - Steve Winwood
63. Break My Stride - Matthew Wilder
68. The Flame - Cheap Trick
74. Penny Lover - Lionel Richie
75. The Finer Things - Steve Winwood
82. Breakout - Swing Out Sister
84. New Moon on Monday - Duran Duran
86. Long and Lasting Love - Glenn Medeiros
91. I Don't Want to Live Without You - Foreigner
Not totally forgotten.I have quite a few of these songs on my Ipod. Benjamin Orr's solo album is one of my favorites. Better than anything Ric Ocasek put out.
You still have a functioning iPod? 😳
@@ladydontekno I have 4. One that I use and 3 in case the one fails. BEST. INVENTION. EVER.
@@wkndsquire Couldnt agree more. Better than using your phone, imho. My employees used to give me shit about it. Lol
Of course, I agree with you. I have bought a vinyl this year with Ben in blue on cover
Sheena Easton song is a true masterpiece and video with Bela Lugosi type Dracula character is gem as well!😃
I love that song and video.
*Humanity just needs some isolated Planet of Everlasting 80's*
Yes please lol
Sign me up please.
Id move there
Just without the AIDS & crack & threat of nukes. And John Lennon still alive, please.
These lists are so much fun...I find myself youtubing a lot of these vids afterwards....STONED.
Bad boy isn’t that forgotten if it’s the theme song to three men and a baby,
great mix of secondary and back tracks. Radio mostly plays only the same 80's songs over and over again.
So, why was about 90% of these songs running on almost 45rpm? All sped up? 😳😆😆

2:02 Steel Breeze! Thanks
Dokken - in my dreams, is one of the greatest songs of the 80s.... I know that George Lynch got guitar solo of the year award from that song.... And 85 was probably the pinnacle of the guitar-rock era.
I love that song. I can't believe it made the list of forgotten songs
Nailed it! Sooo many great songs here. Good to see Icehouse and Night Ranger. The 80's had the BEST music!! Give me Eddie Money, Whitesnake, Survivor.. timeless and classic forever!!
I remember how taped a lot of music from FM-stations in 80-90s. I switched stations continuously looking for good songs. Only one of above I had recorded and ready to listen more then one time and it is Julian Lennon's "Too Late For Goodbyes". The rest I would rewind after 10-20 seconds and definitely won't listen today. I am not surprised they are forgotten.
Though not in the list you have remind me about Billy Ocean and his great "Loverboy". So thanks anyway ))
Didn't anybody notice Randy Quaid at 00:15 ?
"And here's the best part. Thanks to that defective plate they put in my head the VA gave me a huge plot of old government land just north of town. Oh yeah, every time I belch the plate shifts and my legs give out but MAN what a view!"
Going Gets Tough...that song plays on a loop in my head daily. I love it. Also Dokken & Night Ranger will never be forgotten. Same for any Genesis song. New Moon on Monday is my favorite Duran Duran song. It drives me crazy how it never gets any love. Same for Union of the Snake.
True but I'm more speaking from the perspective of people born after 1989 who weren't alive then, any Gen Xers or Xennials could remember these
@@xennial80sxberner oh I see. Yeah that makes sense...unless they have cool Gen X parents like me who exposes their kids to most of these. They all love 80's music and not just popular stuff or the stuff that became memes for their generation. I will say that I kind of forgot about Break My Stride until I heard my daughter singing it one day and I was like "oh yeah I remember that." lol
