- Namaste everyone, this is the Episode 11 of intermediate Flute techniques series with some important flute techniques. And the most demanded technique is here. I have explained the meend in detail and also touched gamak topic
The is Eleventh in the series and i have explained the Alankar and practice of Meend. We will be seeing the 2 important alankars for practice of Meend.

Its a small part from raag desh. You need to practice raag desh phrases along with meend and kan swar to get the effect
Can u please elaborate ur fingering during playing taar saptak aroh RP. Look like different way to play pa in tar saptak here ..wl b really helpful if u elaborate it

What is sad evening flute? Are you saying a sad evening tune? You can try some phrases from Puria dhanashree raag and it will give you that effect.
Gamak goes both side if you look panditjis video on gamak on slow motion you can clearly see that gamak goes from down to up with forced stroke on uddesh swara ( main note) and rapid glide to secondary swara to end one note gamak
I hope you have watched my earlier 2 videos on gamak topic.
Thanks for watching this one. Now while practising and pronouncing gamak, its always from top swar to the swar for which we play gamak. It never starts from the swar for which we play gamak.
Now meend can be both ways. Example if you wish to play gamak for Pa , it can start from any swar like d,n,s. So you cannot start from P and go back to S D Or N. Meend can be taken both ways start from P and rest on P. I have seen pandit jis video too. I explained in same way. Hope this makes it clear.

Sir, Pl. guide How many scales are there in Flute? i.e. flute scale
Flutes are made for all 12 scales. Few scales like C,C#,D,D#,E,F,F# has both bass and middle flutes

How to play meend on pa and ma.
I play ma to pa quickly but it sounds weird
Just like how transition from head voice and falsetto sounds
Not possible between ma pa

Sir ap konsi scale ki flute use kar rehe hai ??? Mere pass to C ka middle hai , usme aisi sundar effect ayegi kya ??
I am using F bass here. C middle par bhi kar sakte ho practice, but middle flutes me bohot jyada der tak classical riyaz kar pana thoda kathin hai. Apko classical riyaz ke liye koi bass flute leni chahiye jaise ki G# bass or G bass or E bass
