I would like to get the sub stream to BlueIris for some better alert monitoring (on actual face recognition), but i'm struggling to get it to connect to them. Any tricks i need to know. I enabled ONVIF on the IP camera when i browse to it from Camera Management. It's on a different network to the PC because its given its own by the NVR. Do i need to put it on the same?

    • @DVSLTD
      @DVSLTD  2 года назад

      if you want to add by IP address you will need to know the external IP address of the site , you can find this by using a tool like Ping.eu or similar, but most will have a dynamic IP and will change every day or so and then will not work by IP alone, unless you are lucky enough to have the fixed IP address on the ISP Side? If not use hik-connect but you say you don’t want to?

    Thank you very much for this great video and help. I have 4 Hikvision bullet cameras connected to built-in PoE switch in NVR (DS-7616NXI-I2/16P/4S) and I configured remote access according your video by opening e.g. 65001 - 65004 ports on my router + Hik-connect to get my WAN dynamic IP address. This works perfectly and I can remotely login to my NVR and each of 4 cameras independently. But now for security reasons I am trying to configure how to receive push notification in Hik-connect application on my mobile phone and also on my email when "Illegal login" in camera GUI is raised in case of attacker attempt and I don't know how to configure it when camera is connected to built-in NVR PoE switch. (note: If the camera is connected on LAN directly to router "Illegal login" notification works with no issue and I can get push notification on my mobile phone and also email). Now If I connect cameras back to NVR PoE switch and if I enable "Illegal login" exception in NVR web GUI and I simulate attack on NVR web login page (with incorrect login credentials) I can receive push notification on my mobile phone with no issue. But if I try to simulate attack to Camera web login page e.g. "MYWANIP":65001 (with incorrect credentials) I will not receive any push notification on my mobile phone and no email will come. I tried also to enable Illegal login exception in Camera web GUI itself and checked the "Notify Surveillance system" and "Sent Mail" checkboxes but it did not help. Could you please help me with this problem? Is there any solution for it?

    Hi, any chance you could help me with a few questions.
    1
    I managed to get remote access setup using hikconnect, but now a few days later I can no longer access my Nvr /cameras remotely, this is more than likely down to the router ip address changing, but I presumed hikconnect had come up with a new smarter way of doing things. Should I just go back to using port forwarding and using DNS or what is the best way to get this up and running.
    2
    How can I change my passwords on my Nvr and cameras, without causing problems, last thing I want is to end up locked out. (All camera powered directly from Poe ports).
    3
    Seems the Nvr adjustments are quite limited compared to logging into the cameras directly. Would you recommend logging into camera to make adjustment or will NVR just stick with defaults either way.
    4
    Can I record to SD and NVR at the same time.
    5
    Would you recommend using both hikconnect and port forwarding at the same time.
    Thanks again

    • @DVSLTD
      @DVSLTD  5 лет назад

      Hi , HIK-Connect is smart enough to know the IP address of the router when it changes, you should add it to the account and then should not require you to do anything further, it suggest there is something else going on, perhaps by any chance are you using powerline adapters , those devices that allow IP over mains plugs? If so rest both ends by unplugging and seeing if that brings it back on line, if not then reboot the router and DVR and see if that helps? , have you put a DNS server address also into the DVR network settings , I use 8.8.8.8 but others are available , if not then this can be a cause of the device drop out , so try the above. To change the passwords we would recommend using the SAPD tool , there is an option when you import the file back in saying to update the IP camera password also , so tick this option , and regards HIK connect you can use this with no port forward , you should not see these issue’s. Some settings need to be done at the camera of course so it’s best to login to the camera to achieve this , the NVR can’t hold all of the settings for each device that may be added as there are so many settings that the camera can hold , image settings etc. should be done at the camera.

    • @DVSLTD
