On the purge part its cool, but does it purge out the smoke completely out of the base with 1 or 2 full breaths? I think you missed out on that part.
Yes it purged properly when purging normally so I psychologically just assumed it as a given. I looked over it after it was finished and realized I never touched base on that during the shoot. Instead, focusing on the purge function. But yes base clears as expected or else I’d have definitely made a point to mention it doesn’t clear well. Maybe I’ll make a clip on IG over the weekend

Whats the best water level for the prime pro x in general?

Hi! You can find recommended water levels of any hookah on the Hookah UNLIMITED website, here’s the one for the Pro X I/II hookahunltd.com/collections/masterclass-hookahs/products/steamulation-pro-x-ii
Regarding water levels in general, approaching it via the measured amount of water is never a good idea. Instead first fill your base so it’s 1cm above the highest row of holes of the diffuser to determine the general water level. Then, if you want the process easier henceforth, pour it out into a large container and mark how much water you needed. From then on you can just fill the water to the mark of your container before you transfer it into your base. With the Pro X hookahs I recommend you extend the downstem to its max setting

How does the draw feel compared to the removable defuser? Would have been nice to see that on the pipe.

Nice and simple. Looks like it smokes well. I like. The other models have too many parts and complications. This one is simple to use and clean. Yet it smokes well
It smokes beautifully, it’s built right, it has all the functions that matter, and some extra ones too.
It’s the best mini on the market for that reason
Expected the build quality rating to be much higher. What was missing for it not to be closer to the 10/10 rating?
Well I don’t rate on a curve. So my ratings aren’t in comparison to other hookahs but based on an ideal based on what state of the art machining/manufacturing technology is capable of. However all ratings also take into consideration the price and classification of the given pipe, in this case.
For example a 5/10 means it’s standard - nothing terribly bad yet nothing exceptional. A well shaped $5 Egyptian bowl would get a 5/10, as an example.
Anything higher than 5/10 shows how much better the given product is. As such, a 10/10 rating for build quality would be absolute perfection… to the standard of aerospace tech. You can imagine, thus so, each 0.1 bears greater weight the closer it gets to “perfection”.
The reason the Steamulation Prime Pro X or even the Pro X or Pro X II would not get closer to 10/10 simply because the adjustable hose port comes prefabbed and impossible to take apart and the fact that the pieces don’t fit absolutely flush to the point where the seams are invisible. A ~9/10 rating, as is, is incredibly high and shows that it’s among the best built hookahs on the planet.
Hope this clears it up for you! Don’t forget this is Hookah Unlimited, everything is on a whole different dimension as far as standards are concerned.

Great review! Based on your review I’m going to pull the trigger on a steamulation! Would you recommend the prime pro x or the new pro x 2? Also does the prime pro x have any feature for a hose holder like the pro x 2?

Firstly, the Prime Pro X (PPX) doesn’t have a hose holder like the Pro X II (PX2), since the PX2 uses one of the hose ports which doubles to accommodate the tip of Steamulation brand of hoses. Because the PPX is a single hose hookah, there’s no additional port to utilize as a holder.
Secondly, they’re both excellent hookahs though they’re for different purposes, the PPX being the single user “little brother” between the two.

How can I open this to clean the purge ball?
Great question! Sadly you cannot due to the integrated mechanism which allows you to do so much with a single turn. However there’s been zero issues with running water right through, from the bottom of the heart, to clean it easily at any time

Depends wholly on your bowl, your HMD/foil set up, and what tobacco you’re using and how you’re packing. Notice how I don’t mention the hookah pipe at all - it has nothing at all to do with how many coals you should use.

The whole point of it is that it’s smaller, so no it doesn’t
thanks for clarifying Sarkis - just assumed it was a modular 360 lock system, that can be used across the whole range of bases ie pro x, classic pro x, x2 etc
so the prime pro x heart and down stem won’t fit onto a pro x click base?

@@filterfx don’t mistake the “pro x” insignia - it’s a trim not the model name. Classic, Prime and Mini are the main lines from steamulation with the most recent induction of the xpansion series

@@admirar6196 sadly no, but only because the hose port insert is glued onto the silicone of the Carbon1 Hose. But you can always cut it off and attach the hose end to the Steamulation Hose Port Adapter
