- The V&A holds in its collection the original artwork for the Rolling Stones famous tongue and lips logo - one of the world's most instantly recognisable symbols of rock and roll.
In this interview Jon Pasche shares the fascinating story behind the tongue and lips commission - meeting Mick Jagger, being told he could do better, and being paid £50.
The most representative and recognizable logo in the history of rock. Great job, John

I have the tattoo.....
his name is Alan Aldridge. That's who did the "great job".
John Pasche created my Franki Pineapple 'pineapple grenade' logo ... i'm still in shock over it ... i reached out to him out of the blue as a fantasy, not expecting him to even respond to my email; I shared my "peaceful rebellion / pineapple grenade" concept along with a few songs and that was all it took for him to dive in. I love my logo so much. When Apple Inc opposed my trademark a couple months later ... I knew I had to fight for what John had created for me. I prevailed! What an incredible artist and person he is. The Rolling Stones logo is the most iconic of all time.
I loved! thank you so much
I love you Roling Stones. ...
Stones keep on rolling!
I hope Mr. Pasche eventually received more than 50 pounds. A nice job by the V&A giving him recognition.

RUBY MAZUR claims to be the originator of this logo!
I believe he (Ruby) is the true artist....truth will prevail
No he doesn't. He did the 45 cover design for Tumblin Dice. Totally different design.
He is the true artist of the 1972 Tumblin Dice 45 cover. That's all he claims.
