Worth noting is that giving the Rotgill buff to a minion which already has a deathrattle to summon minions will give the minions it summons the stat buff, as deathrattles proc on minions in the order they were applied as seen in the Rotgill demonstration. This can lead to some interesting scenarios where a board wipe such as Twisting Nether on a full board with the Rotgill buff could lead to you still having enough damage to kill them in the case that at least a couple of your minions had a summoning deathrattle (such as the spell that gives a deatrattle to summon zombies). I may switch to Firestone deck tracker just for this deck as you'd want to cast the spell on the friendly minion that first came into play because when multiple minions die, deathrattles trigger on each minion in the order of play, and Firestone keeps track of the order they came into play.
@@Argiopocalypse92 maybe? They whiffed on totem Shaman, and murloc Shaman was pretty easy to shut down, after 2 board clears. Blizzard always gives them a start, but no follow through. Stick with evolve, that's where the pay off is going to be.
That's what I thought too, it's basically what made Sludge Belcher so ubiquitous back then - it's a taunt that summons another taunt, and actually has a lot of stats in total
@@bycmozeszymon I think the main issue is that sludge belcher was good in Naxxramas and some of the expansions after that. Sludge belcher definetly doesn't hold up 8 years later
As far as card draw goes for Agro paladin, if they’re running a lot of buffs, a single myrmidon might provide all the draw necessary. Also, all the payoff for self-damage paladin can be found in wild with rastakans rumble.
The shaman shadow spell seems pretty interesting because the one card from sunken city that summons based on each spell school can fill the board very fast
Blood Paladin seems interesting. Hopefully they give a bit of a reward for taking damage as healing as never really been an amazing thing but hey, I'm all for it.
The 1 mana paladin 2/1 with divine shield seems craaaaazzzy good in aggro paladin. Your opponent has to spend at least 2 mana worth of spells to kill it and it gets in for 2? Really good. The blood crusader card also seems really good. Free ragnaros, free tirion, lots of other good stuff. It basically says your next card costs zero. A crazy strong tempo swing. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't see how both of these don't become staples.
Rotgill on its own is ok but together with the shadow spell on turn 8 it presents a intersting bord challange for your oponent. If they try to play around Rotgrill with a AoE bord clear (in spacial symetrical) they have a harder time to controll the dmg of the Shadow Suffusion. if they try to controll the dmg of Shadow Suffusion with playing new minions and wiede boards they run in the problem of the Rotgrill buffs. While I think Shadow Suffusion is the better card in specail in combo with Rotgrill it could be a realy good push.
Also there’s no way some sort of midrange paladin doesn’t come together with the current rotation, or at least until stormwind and alterac rotate. You have that 3 mana 3/1 that can tutor your seal of blood if you don’t draw it, and you have order in the court to draw you countess into your blood crusaders. Seafloor savior is happy to have new targets now, and the deck has too many deck manipulation effects to tutor or dredge exactly what it wants to play on-curve. All it needs is cards as statistically strong as these. It already has buffet biggun and others I’ve mentioned here. Midrange paladin looks like it could consistently threaten turn 7-9 lethals, which is strong in this meta game. I’ll be trying it on day 1.
Shadow Suffusion looks like one of those cards that'll absolutely break the meta during the first month and gets immediately nerfed, no? Volatile Skeletons are already oppressive, and this turns ALL your creatures into BETTER volatile skeletons, with additional in-set deathrattle synergy, for 3 mana. Nothing except maybe priest has a clear out to this (at least that we know so far) and maybe a Rogue with Scabbs but... That's it? Fill your board with minions, and this is a 3 mana do 18 to the enemy hero spell? With no overload? Looks absolutely insane.
Big difference between burning blade and the shaman 5 mama guy is the front half has taunt so if they want to attack they have to go through both bodies the first turn you play it
I kind of love Feast and Famine in any midrange/control paladin with Cariel hero card. +5 health and a good trade with weapon; plus the health gain will likely be higher than the damage you take with a trade.
Though all of these blood damage cards are probably being added now since Cariel will rotate next year, so we only get that specific interaction for a few months
Scourge troll into two mana spell into three mana spell is 8*3 damage blasts at random enemies. First it summons 4 3/2s, then it gives them all the shadow suffusion deathrattle twice.
With Gorloc Ravager, Sir Finley, Schooling, Wildpaw Cavern, Crud Caretaker, Schoolteacher, and Clownfish, I do not think Shaman has ANY trouble reloading on board to set up rotgill (I mained shaman to legend in Nathria). Shaman was in need of cards like this one (or a card to make Bioluminescence a better payoff, but that’s more toxic). I think Rotgill is insane given the current state of Shaman. The likelihood that Rotgill will be in some kind of meta tier 2 or higher Shaman deck before it rotates out is almost 100%.
1 Mana 2/1 Divine Shield, take 2 damage... that's barely a cost, lol... it can REALLY slow down enemy plays to have a card ready to kill ANYTHING with two health...
Turn 5, coin + blood crusader + blood crusader + Rag the light lord. 18/18 worth of stats on 3 big bodies and you heal back 8. Or swap Rag with Leviathan. Big power move and fast
I can totally see Scourge Troll (double deathrattle minion) × 2 + Deathweaver aura (deathrattle summon 2 Zombies) on turn 4 into the Mirror Undead legendary on 5 for disgusting plays
Regis I found a really funny deck, it is demon hunter quest brand and infuse. The goal is to play brand then play the reward so all cards you draw are discounted by 4 mana

I think rotgill will pair well with battlecry setups in wild along with murloc, and it will be absolutely terrible in duels, they just decided to make the murloc pali shaman setup even worse didn't they lol

wish you’d put a star-rating graphic on the cards as you talk through them the first time, just announcing a string of spoken numbers as you quickly cycle thru cards at the end of the cideo doesn’t do it for me and makes the “rating” at the end of these videos feel super tacked-on

Really enjoying the blood elf theme. They bend and force the light to their will, and I think they nailed the look and feel
