Hi, great video. Is it standard practice to have a quiz everyday for a different subject? Our school admin sent a schedule and it boils down to 1 quiz per day everyday for a different subject even if you haven't finished the unit.
Hi there. Thanks for watching! 😊 Quizzes can vary by school, but they’re often used to check progress. It might help to ask your admin how the quizzes fit with the overall plan, especially if they’re happening before finishing a unit. ~Kathy Customer Support at Kathleen Jasper LLC
Formative and summative assessments serve different purposes within the educational context. Formative assessments focus on feedback and improvement during the learning process and are typically not associated with norm-based or criterion-based scoring. Summative assessments, on the other hand, are used for final evaluation and can be either norm-based or criterion-based, depending on the context and goals of assessment. ~Yiana Team Member at Kathleen Jasper LLC
I will add it to my list. I have been avoiding that topic to be honest because I've been writing a new book. But now that's done, I have time for more videos. EdTPA is on my list.
Hi there, I usually start off with a bell ringer to get the student started. Then I usually do a whole group where we go over the objectives and then an activity like read aloud/think aloud. I usually use a PowerPoint or some other visual to help with the read aloud/ think aloud. And I’ll often do a cooperative learning activity. And then wrap up by reviewing the objectives and making sure we covered everything. This video will help you with that. ruclips.net/video/sBBySEUeCnA/видео.html
Thanks for watching. There is no such thing as an informative assessment-instead, it’s called a FORMATIVE assessment. And yes, those are typically informal and are used to monitor progress. Summative assessments measure outcomes and are typically formal assessments. Hope that helps. Have a great day.
@@KathleenJasperEdD thank you for the clarification, I have to study for informal and formal assessments for the test in IL . I was confused. I love your videos 🫶🥰. I am a visual learner and the videos really help me thank you 🙏 God bless you 💓

The STARR test is considered a criterion-referenced, assessment. Correct?
Are formative and summative assessments types of norm and/or criteria based assessments?
Formative and summative assessments serve different purposes within the educational context. Hi Dr. Jasper, may I know, what for you should be the lesson structure of a highschool biology science class? Your response will be much appreciated.
