I never seen or heard about the cops making such operations during 7's Day, on previous years they would just tell folks to move out of Daikokufuto, or at least from the event coverages I read about. Shame really, it did killed the mood from the event a little, which this year was to celebrate the RX-7's 40th anniversary. Despiste the overkill operations from the police, nice to see the event still gathered quite a few folks. Neat to see a few Innocent Blue Mica late-model FDs looking pretty clean, mods-wise.

We have to do that every year here, in eastern europe. So what happens then, you can't drive until you bring the car back to stock/reasonable level to pass the check? Can't a high hp modified or engine swapped car be re-registered as such so when they catch you they can also suck you off since your car is fine? I don't know how owning a car in japan works, but I assume they tune their cars and when the cops ask they claim stock specs. And that a high performance car is costly to register/insure. Such a shame that they're hunting the modders down like that.

So if they find a NOS tank with pluming leading somewhere.... oh I don't know.... your fuel system.. They can impound your car. And you're not gonna waste time and money on a lawyer to process and sue cops for a few broken mods.
i don't drink n drive or smoke or pick up hookers , the only reason to stop me is speeding or spinning tires, and nitro tanks cant be armed , is what you mean, that's the only mod rule we have. but you can most certainly have one in your car. but the valve must be closed . that's what they look for. so don't arm it til you are going to race. if you get caught with it open your in trouble.
