Not sure if you're meme'n, but this board is about as advanced as it gets. technically you can learn on anything, but you would not have a good time learning on this.

@wesleyballard6217 depends on how much you're skating, how rough the pavement is, and how easily the wheels fall apart. I have friends who can core 1 to 2 sets of wheels a day.

Would this board work for a beginner at downhill skating or is it intended for the advanced who know how to slide?

That depends on the urethane formula of the wheels. Some leave thane lines like this and others don't.
