That was a really good video, great perspective of how crabs roll.
I always thought crab pots allow crabs to get in and then that traps them and they can't get out, hence catch multiple crabs per pot.
This video shows they can get to the bait and then leave freely and catching them (without camera) is by pure luck, you catch only what are there by pure chance as you pull the pot up.
I've only ever used witches hats and not the crab pots in the video.

Thanks mate! Yeah, compared to craypots that are enclosed and designed not let the crayfish out, crabnets used here are open nets, easy to catch but it’s also a bit of luck and timing as they are freely moving around between pulls.
