Thanks for the cool 😎 video, Red!! I quite enjoyed it. I love the rivers and bridges! By the way, I'm still looking for that thing as I feel up to it. It's hard for me to get around a lot of the time. It's no fun getting old! So don't give up, my friend. 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
Good Morning Red, I second @kens3729' s statement. Chatter is always welcomed and yoyr srone footage is really second to none. Your Cedar River footage is just awesome, great location to fly the bird. Its good that you guys had some rain, its nice to see the damn flowing, and ya that was some mean water, angry water. Great video as always Sir. Keep them coming 🇨🇦
Nice views of the river! Thanks Red. When you said they were going to have some downtime, I had said to my hubs "I wonder if there's a Casey's in New Hartford" and then they said on the radio they would be blocking the Casey's intersection. That was funny! I'd just hop off the train and go get one of those good Casey's pizzas!!
Thank you for this short video of Canadian National train #L571 on 25 April 2024 and Canadian National train #L5r70 on 4 May 2024, Red! Train #L571 seemed to be shorter than it was in some of your previous videos of this train. I noticed how much more water was in the Cedar River as train #L570 was moving along the Cedar River's bank as the train was heading through Cedar Falls, Iowa on its way to Waterloo, Iowa. That was a significant amount of water coming through the open gates of the Cedar Falls dam. I was hoping that you were going to continue moving along the dam so that we could see whether some of the trees that were caught on the dam had been swept away by the additional water coming over the dam. The work on the old Illinois Central bridge across the Cedar River has not started yet. It did not look like there were any workers on the bridge as the train crossed the bridge. Since we do not know the time of day when you captured train #570, it is possible that work on the bridge could have ended for the day.
You're welcome Thomas! Were still in a drought as far as I know definitely doing better now. The bridge crews usually work earlier in the day. Sometimes they let trains through and get back at it.
Looks like the water washed all those stuck logs away hanging over the dam and so far the birds seem to be letting your drone alone,. That;s a good thing
I was wondering if they were blocking any crossings. Then the radio confirmed it! A Caseys at the crossing in Iowa. I'm shocked Isay shocked! Well not that shocked.😂 Was the bridge by the Deere foundry the one that washed out in 08?
I thought it was the Iowa Northern bridge that got damaged in 2008. That foundry bridge looks pretty old. They block the crossings in New Hartford a lot.
Man I need a road trip to Cedar Falls, love the video Red. I would like to add your channel link to my channel Red, I know my friends would like to subscribe to it.I look forward to watching your videos and I’m a newby on flying the drone so I want to get as good as you my friend.
Good to see the river's back up. And Iowa looking so green. Great job--as always--Red.
Thanks HeyBeerDan!
The first time I've heard a defect detector tell the crew to have a nice day.
Definitely a polite detector. Lots of information👍
Radio Chatter is always a Welcome Addition and along with the Drone Footage separates your Channel from the rest. Thanks Red. 🤔👍🙏
You're welcome Ken!
Well said.
The L571 was a good mixed manifest, Red. Thanks! 😊😊😊❤❤❤
Thanks Red great shot again
You're welcome Ronald!
Nice scenery

Hey Phantom! They were talkative that day. Finally got some rain we needed. Yeah you wouldn't want to get caught below that dam!
River looks real good 👍 Water is life.
Nice to have it back up👍
@@redsiowatrainvideos6645 Did they ever build that 'water park' near the bridges? I think you mentioned something like that a ways back.
@tomp8871 Yes they did. I don't think it met there expectations though.

Thanks Softkitty! New Hartford gets blocked a lot.

Nice trainz
Cool video. Like to lisen in on radio
Thanks David S! You can learn a lot from the scanner👍
That's quite the undertaking on that bridge to replace as much as you said. Is that really cost effective as opposed to a new bridge? 😊😊
I'm sure it's cheaper and less down time.
@@redsiowatrainvideos6645 Thanks, Red.😊

Yep finally some high water. I have been lucky with the birds so far this season👍
Is the ice house museum actually about ice, Red? 😊😊
Yep, that's where they stored it in the old days.
@@redsiowatrainvideos6645 Cool 😎!
Do they close the dam inthe winter anticipating heavy spring rain? 😊😊
Question, why do they have power coupled together usually front to back and not elephant style?😊
I would say so they can be short hood forward either direction for better vision.
I was wondering if they were
blocking any crossings. Then the radio confirmed it!

You would think they could just build and switch out bridge sections with large cranes???
The down time would probably be the issue.

Thanks Steve, sounds like a roadtrip for you! Practice definitely helps with the drone. I have a ton of miles on mine now!
So you rode the bike as always can we find red. Lol
Oh yeah! I'm in there somewhere😃
Do you ever go up Mason City way.
I have been. Be nice to catch the Traction railroad in action👍
