hey, thanks for your comment! however, I would like to argue what is traditional. A "common" mohiniyattam stitched costume is an invention of the end of 20th century. Devadasis danced the dance exclusively in sarees! I have nothing against the costume, but I believe that the dance should not be limited to it and it can be performed in a variety of "dressings" :)
@@irenamohini absolutely.. I agree with u on that..and u did absolute justice to the art form in a simple Saree..!! However, The best part of costume is that it kinda highlights even the tiniest things.. And adds charm to the overall poise n grace..!!

But from my personal opinion, full costume dressing doesn't fit all stages - some stages are more warm and intimate and they "ask" less formality, less heaviness and ornaments and more presence of the human in minimal drapings
Camera work should bring to the viewer,the dancer's steps ,facial expressions and hand gestures closer.Not a distant picture. Being a tall danseuse a taller camera to capture the face seems necessary.
