Ah, reminds me of primary school when my mom would wake up before us and wash her hair only to dry it shortly after. In the really cold days of winter, I would wake up to the sound of her drying her hair and hurry to the bathroom, sit on the toilet, and wait for her to blow air in my direction. I'd close my eyes and it would feel so warm in contrast to the biting cold air floating around in the house.
So awesome to find a hairdryer video long enough that I don't have to loop it! Love that you let it blow on the microphone. Listening on a good pair of headphones I can almost feel the air. Some people may not get it, but for those of us that do it's truly amazing! Thank you!
I must say, that this is way better than the dozens of other white noise videos that I have tried, especially good with headphones, the noises wander throughout my head, amazing!
Are you ready for this one.....when I was a kid,three or four,.....I used to make our cleaning lady push the front-lighted Hoover vacuum right at my head....I was flat on the rug and she pushed it right to my face..and then back and then again to my face and again back..over and over...the light ..the sound ..the warmth..the vibration..took me to a paradise I so needed .Turned off all feelings for mom and dad at age three...in my heart and head felt they loved older sister more than me.Things electric gave me peace and love ..warmth and constancy.The washing machine,the hair dryer,the vacuum or the fan fed me....indeed empowered me....and gave me a place to go..for rest and some good feelings...I sing the body electric!
Wow Joe exactly same thing happened to me when i was a child. I followed mom around the house when she was vacuum cleaning, positioned myself behind the vacuum where it blowed hot air and mostly of the times i fell asleep while she was cleaning. It triggered a nice feeling in my whole body and i always wanted to relax/sleep when i heard the sound. This is so amazing that there actually are more people with this kind of experience! I thought i was the only one that was weird at first..

Exactly, it sounds and feels like an actual hair dryer. Recording the sound with hair dryer in one position doesn't make a job, because after a while it is just a white noise. And btw, blowing dryer in your face and feeling that air in your ears... that's the stuff

Cool, I saw lots of asmr videos of people whispering but didn't really get this, however seeing this made me realize its something I have always been fond of. Something very relaxing about a hair dryer sound, makes me feel cosy, warm and safe, has faint memories of my mum drying my hair after a bath when i was a young child. Very soothing. ps listening on studio monitors, very nice!!

You aren’t weird! My family tells me the exact same thing, but it’s one of the few things that helps with my anxiety, so I brush it off. Just because they don’t understand doesn’t mean you are weird:)

While I was trying to sleep to this, my fat brother came in my room, tried to take my dog, I said no, he tried to snap my neck, then I screamed really loud, and he went out and threw a brush at me, luckily he's scared of me, I got up and he ran, usually my parents would give the dog to him, but today they didn't, and this is at 3 in the morning, when I fell asleep at 2:30 something, now my neck hurts, and I'm not feeling well, what a great family I have, oh well, he'll probably be back in here soon
