I just recently bought a air fryer. I watched your video and my boneless chicken came out amazing. Did it exactly how you made yours. I’m about to make the fries today. This is my new favorite channel.
EvCupcake very cool! Any breaded Gardein stuff is great in the air fryer. So are their meatballs. 10 min at 400F works well in ours for all of that stuff! Yours is larger so the cooking time might vary by a minute or two.

Happy belated Mother’s Day, Aurora! I’m glad this video was helpful. Enjoy your new air fryer, and feel free to drop any questions you may have in the comments. I love helping people learn to use their air fryers!
I wanted to come through the screen. 😋Thanks for the tips with the do’s and dont’s. I got an air fryer for Christmas and still trying to figure it out before I unbox it.
Well put together video, very simple, informative and easy to understand. I did exactly what you said, same seasoning, same heat and time, only difference was the air fryer and OMG these fries were amazing. Thank you for making this video.
@@PeachSSGSS Same I'm new to this air frying as well. I'm actually gonna whip up some crinkle cuts today which is why I clicked on this video. 😂 Good to know that I'm not alone. Of course, I don't mean that in a bad way but you know. Ahh, it's hard to explain. 😰😣
You definitely could, but I don't think it's necessary. For crunchier fries, do 12 minutes instead of 10. They're already deep fried before they're frozen.
Yes you have to add a tablespoon of oil if you are making from scratch at home. For frozen fries you don't have to add oil because they are already fried for few minutes so they already have little amount of oil.
Some of my air fryers pause automatically when you shake, and others don’t. Either way, you can just do the quick shake without pausing. It only takes a few seconds, so you don’t lose too much heat or time. You don’t have to even pull the basket all the way out to shake, just halfway. Just move the basket back and forth rapidly for a few seconds, then close it back and let it finish cooking. I hope I’m explaining clearly! Lmk if you have more questions. I’m finding shaking harder to describe than it probably should be 😆
@@ayaan9646 it depends on how full the basket is. If you're only making a few servings, then one shake will be fine. If you're filling it more, then shake 2-3 times, so everything has a change to hit that hot, circulating air.
According to the recent Nutrition Diva podcast with Liz Shaw, they suggest always placing less food, and the importance of putting everything DRY. However, if going straight from frozen, is there going to be water as it heats? Is it best to thaw, let it dry, then put in? BTW, I have an Actifry T-FAL, does that make any difference?
Yes, less food is correct. I put them in frozen, and they come out great. They're not frozen in water, so any moisture would be what you'd find in the fresh potato. I haven't used an Actifry-style air fryer before, so I can't speak to that.

I noticed a lot of videos don't preheat the air fryer. Do I need to preheat or just press start?
I don’t preheat unless a recipe specifies. It heats up in just 3 min, so you can just tack a min or two on at the end if needed.
Do you have to defrost the fries or just chuck them in frozen into the air fryer?
Chuck ‘em straight in! 🙌

How do you shake the air fryer? Do you remove the basket in half time and shake or shake the entire machine from time to time ?
You just move the basket (not the whole machine) vigorously back and forth to shake the food around inside. No need to fully remove it.

Did you thaw those before seasoning?
These came seasoned, but I’d season after air frying, if you want to add anything
Seasoning before or after cooking? Because I think seasoning them before cooking will waste most of your seasoning in the heat.
I agree. Season after. I’d do it immediately, so the oil on them is still hot, so your seasonings stick better.
So. No need to pre-heat the air fryer?
Nope!
DO I HAVE TO USE GREASE..AND IF SO HOW MUCH TO MAKE THEM CRISPY..
