Black Desert Online - Heidel - Ryzen 5800X

A simple CPU performance test of AMD Ryzen 7 5800X in Black Desert Online. Resolution is set at 720p in order to avoid GPU bottlenecking.
The overall performance of the Ryzen 5000-series in Black Desert is very good and a huge performance bump over my previous Intel i5-8400 and Ryzen 5 3600.

Hello, i see this video is 2 years old. But could you share a bit more about your setup? I am running a 5800x myself, but i get around 50-70 fps inside Heidel. I am running a single stick of 16gb of DDR4 ram, could that be my bottleneck?

I assume you have tried low resolution and settings to be sure it's not your GPU that can't handle? Single channel memory isn't great, especially if it is low frequency too? Ryzen likes fast memory. Right now the game have a boost in popularity so FPS might be a little lower because of that too. I haven't checked the performance lately.

Hi is worth upgrading to 5800x3d if i have a 5600x

For Black Desert I would say no. I didn't notice any performance increase

Raising the resolution only stresses the GPU, the uploader set the resolution to 720P to avoid a GPU bottleneck for the purposes of demonstrating CPU performance.
