OMG too right that summer is the best time of year for a Grad student.. Of course we don't get it off. We can get coffee at the campus shops in like 2 minutes flat though! The lunch spots aren't insane either at that time of year! The atrium of my building is super quiet because there aren't a bunch of rowdy youngsters... I can't wait for summer again...
I think it's for saving space! I have one for music students at my school. The room is tiny, but it does hold quite a bit with all the shelves stacked together.
Are you originally from New Zealand? Could you do a video comparing how scientific research and universities work in NZ versus in Australia, if you have experience doing both in the two countries? I'm at the end of my PhD in soft matter physics, looking for a post-doc :-)
In Paris, France! At a university called ESPCI. It's where Pierre & Marie Curie discovered radium a century ago :-) We actually put together an art/science YT channel with my colleagues to showcase the kind of research we do here: ruclips.net/user/thelutetiumproject. If you come to Paris one day, I'd be happy to show you around the labs! But it's pretty much the other side of the world though...
I work in a lab that does high pressure physics. Instead of applying pressure to materials like silicon to make new phases of matter, I apply pressure to plant cells to look for changes in the stiffness of the cell wall. On the nano scale I am treating the plants like a physicist would treat any material
So your an astrophysics student doing biological work? Could you give me some advice because I’m a biological science student and I love physics but I don’t know what careers will satisfy both of my interests. Do you know any?
" My favourite time because no one is here". Love it.
That NASA shirt is so cool!

2:13 That's a very interesting library idea. Never seen that before.

Love your voice, so calming 🌷Sending love from the Philippines 🇵🇭
That's really cool you saw the topology guy talk!
How is a phd in experimental different from theoretical?
The way you speak in a calm and cool way, makes me jealous.
By the way, the uni campus and lab area are very beautiful.
This was a good video. The campus looked great!

That's a great suggestion, thanks! I do have experience in both countries. Where did you do your PhD?

you are incredible :3
Loved this daily life video.
Sorry for my ignorance but...you study plant cells in Physics? How does Physics apply to Biology?

Your videos are kinda nice and you ask some very interesting questions. I've subscribed to your channel. BTW are you Australian or New Zealand?
Wow beautiful university that you have with that electric bicycle and laboratory so cool .
Why are the liquid nitrogen and helium tanks in the sun on the roof?
Looks like a word at 1:08 in the cloud above the green trees
looks like a reflection from the window off of her shirt maybe it looks like it says Canon
+1 for Jet Propulsion Laboratory sticker on the laptop ^^
Where Can I find that Badass t shirt
Thank u for video from PhD from Ukraine
The background music is also used by the RUclips channel "Sailing Ocean Fox". Freaky
After graduate what is your goal in physicist.
After my PhD I would like to combine research and science communication
Use unmotorised bike and try to keep the same speed as you had using e-bikes.

hey i just took an undergrad plant physiology class! have you been a part of publishing of any papers on this? id love to read it
That cat in the background... Is it real? ;)
Woahh so cool! :]
Top uni 👌🏼
Cool shirt
Telstra tower!
Ayy first
I don't know if i'm popular enough to deserve 'first' comments haha :P
