There is something about Beetronics pedals that sound broken and amazing at the same time. Like their pedals were forced to smoked 10 packages of cigarettes a day but still able to sing.

Wow, you got even more times than the other demos that already have me wanting this one. The difference between the Hums to P90s into it was great, and both were killer tones. I really like how it doesn’t need much gain to really add character to the tone. I’ve been using a Spaceman Saturn VI to do a similar thing with my clean tone. Got one new, on sale on Reverb, for less than I could fin any used ones actually.
AndyDemos I thought you put your own twist on “like a stone”. Also the last one was sick too, sounded like John frusciante. Man I really dig your demos dude
I always prefer single coils, and the response of the JFET's here is one of the reasons why.With humbucker designs, keeping the output down into vintage below 9k range also makes a big difference.Essentially, the signal can always be boosted or otherwise modified to acheive what you are looking for; reducing it, on the other hand, is much more difficult.

Hi Andy! Great demo as always. I have tiny request/suggestion....could you add a couple of strummed cords using a pick to your demos? You have an amazing technique using your fingers the way you do and it always sounds fantastic, but it has an inherent “warmth” or “woolliness” that is a bit different from the sound using a pick. Nothing crazy...just a couple open cords or something as a reference point for us pick users. Thanks for the great demos and insights on getting great tone!!!
Okay, generally a well done review, but... you used all those guitars and settings, and you never used a pick? I mean unless I missed it. I just feel like the vast majority of people are gonna be playing at least partially with a pick, so it'd be nice to know how it sounds.
Hitting the strings with your thumbnail sounds the same as hitting them with a pick (I know from experience because I switched from using a pick to using my nails years ago). Andy’s not using the fleshy part of his fingertips when he plays.

Definitely. Right around the 3:20 mark it sounds a lot like the Catalinbread Formula No. 55, which is a tweed Deluxe foundation overdrive.

Andy uses his thumbnail like a pick, not the fleshy part of his finger. A pick wouldn’t sound any different.
