I'm listening right now "Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence" and I'm enjoying it! Well, I'm in process of discovery, and it seems eternal! There are so many bands and songs! Thank you, Philippe! :]
I am not worthy!!! I put this on in the back ground and, coming back 5 minutes later (just now), realized how long this is... My brother has been trying to get me into metal, but he couldn't possibly have known that leaving When All is Lost on the computer with The Odyssey on the sidebar would change a person's life.
so symphony was playing last night and they did almost all of the iconoclast album, the show "ended" and Russel returns "since you all havent shut up and we are such nice persons we will play one and only ONE more song" ... and then they played the Odyssey. O.o (those weren't Russels's exact words but you get the idea)
Mom: sweetie can you come and take care of the dishes? You: Yea, im just going to listen to one more song. *starts listening to: Symphony x - The odyssey"
Enlightenment comes when you least expect it. I checked out those bands, Seventh Wonder = Fantastical. I'm still checking them out. Apparently I love metal. ʘ ͜͜ ʘ
not really, ...and justice for all was fuckin incredible, my personal fav of theirs, thats extremely complex! but yeah everything after that is utter shite, i hate em cos of that, real sell outs!
possibly the most amazing piece of music ever, this is the modern day PF 'Echoes'
"The Odyssey" is the longest song I've ever heard! :] And besides, is really beautiful, the lyric is beautiful... S/2.....
possibly the greatest piece of modern music
This song has everything 25 min of pure epicness!!

Well I'm glad you like it ;)
As a wise man once said, music is enough for a lifetime but a lifetime isn't enough for music.
Trully a masterpiece Prog song...

AND DREAM THEATER!
YOU GOT TO TRY DREAM THEATER! :)
Yes, it's true! Excuse my ignorance but... who said that? Just to know and a little of curiosity. :)
To be fair, early Metallica was pretty complex stuff heavily inspired by classical music, particularly their second and third albums.
I don't like metal... but this was fucking amazing.
20:17 soooooo epic, I love it.
Yeah, i was just saying because Dream Theater is great. One of my favorite prog metal bands, or prog rock is Scale the Summit.
Listen to Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence... it is 42 minutes long
Those are the words of Sergei Rachmaninov ;)
