"-So how do i level up fast. - First, you need a disturbing amount of caffeine and several sleepless nights..." Me in 2015 explaining how to level fast. Thank goodness it's so much more convenient with boosters from quests and guild perks.
I started playing 2 weeks ago, and i love taking my time because i'm really invested in my class story but i can see how to use these methods for other classes i´m less interested in, so i can get legendary status
You don't need to level up fast for legendary. You just need to do the story missions. They are easy enough to do at any level near the rec. on that planet.
Always do the black talon or essles fp as soon as you exit your starter planet, this will not only give you higher gear pieces but it will also give you a level boost before you go to DK or corusaunt and it’s fun:)
At this point I just want to thank you, I play since about 4 to 5 years and you helped me very much with every video I watched. And also happy new year to everyone.
I started exiting the Second Combat Style Mission as soon as I start a new character, placing the new character on the Fleet. Just talking to each crafting vendor jumps a few levels, and taking a transport to the alternate starting planet to explore first. I don't even begin a new character until I've acquired their specific outfit, weapon, & mount. Having every companion(except Lysslo) unlocked, I even try to start with specific companions(at lvl 50), which could also need customizing. I suggest military outfits for Shae Vizla & definitely get the Visa Marr outfit/headpiece for either Darth Hexid or Master Ranos, making them Miraluka! The headpiece goes very nicely with the more elegant outfits(with dyes). The opening cutscenes with more seasoned characters always look way better then a noob right off the ship!
Here is my routine for power leveling after creating a new toon: 1. Open my 5 cantina crates that you get in the mail initially (Note: these were rewards for subscribers back in 2.x, around the time GSF was introduced in the game) and try to get a few extra XP boosts or black/black dyes. If I'm not satisfied in my rewards, I just delete the character and recreate until I am satisfied with my random rewards. 2. Grab a few million credits from my legacy bank and unlock all the character perks for the activities I plan on doing (exploration XP, story XP, flashpoint XP, PVP XP, etc.) Also, unlock speeder training 1 at level 1 so I can use a mount right away. 3. Pick out my outfit and weapons I will use from collections and apply some dyes, and stamp them to outfitter. Also unlock my mounts I have in collections. 4. Whisper someone in my guild to invite my new character to guild. 5. Put on my DVL leveling armor set for the extra XP (Note: This was a reward for completing activities during the DVL event back in 4.x.) 6. Pop all titles received in the mail after character creation (These are rewards from various things over the years....Pre-order, subs, Amazon, various legacy achievement awards, etc.) Some of these titles reward XP after popping them. You can be level 2 or 3 before even doing anything, after popping them (little higher if during double XP events.) 7. Go to my non-decorated Rishi Stronghold then deactivate the Stronghold. You will be kicked to Rishi (Note: only do this if you originally used CCs to purchase your Stronghold so that you can reactivate it later for free.) Then go explore Rishi. After exploring Rishi and unlocking all the accessible areas, go to your Yavin IV stronghold and rinse and repeat with Yavin IV. NOTE: Before you could have someone invite you to their Rishi and/or Yavin IV strongholds and they could just kick you to the planets without deactivating, but Bioware fixed it. That method doesn't work anymore. You will just be kicked fleet. Hence the reason now you have to deactivate a stronghold to get kicked to planet. If you didn't initially purchase your Stronghold with CCs, you will have to rebuy the stronghold with credits again to reactivate it. Also, note that when you deactivate a stronghold, it will pick up all decorations and when you reactivate it, your stronghold will be empty. I never did decorate my Rishi and Yavin IV strongholds anyway. So it doesn't bother me. 8. After exploring Rishi and Yavin IV with all your boosts and perks activated, you should be around level 30-something (a little higher, closer to 40, if it is during double XP events.) 9. Now I usually go get my ship by starting my story line on starter planet, followed by the next planet (DK or Coruscant). Once I have my ship, I go explore other high level planets for a few more levels. 10. Now I do Heroics until I reach level 70-75. From there, I do the dailies/weeklies that aren't reliant on class story and I can do without doing any other content (Black Hole, Section X, CZ-198, Oricon Story followed by Oricon dailies/weeklies.) 11. If not level 80 yet, you should be very close and it should only take a couple more activities. Take your pick....a few PVP warzones/arenas, a few GSF matches, a couple Flashpoints, more Heroics, etc. Back in the day, when level cap was lower, I used to be able to power level from level 1 to level cap in one day during double XP events. Now that the level cap is 80, it takes me 2 days of dedicated play during double XP event. If it isn't double XP event, then it takes me around 3 days of dedicated play (4 days, if not dedicated, all-day play.)
I remember old swtor used to be really hard to level lol. Now from what I've seen, it just looks really easy. While no I don't really play anymore since yeah I'm kinda more into corporate clash now (you should try it one day maybe).
9th toon, after being AFK for a while, I kept the complimentary XP boosts on, had enough legacy to get Legacy XP boosts. Did story and planet purples. Hit LVL 80 with the xp from arriving on Illum.
My biggest and most fun method is just playing the story and once you got on a new Planet, just do the Heroics on that planet with an healer companion. You get the best gear for your lvl, much exp, quite a lot of credits and can focus on the story mission and challenge yourself (helps for learning your class) With this I get max lvl after Chapter 2 every time!!
I do a little bit of all of this, and typically end up leveling very, very fast. Most of my leveling comes from guild activities, honestly, as I'm guilded with a guild focused on Conquest and the events they host usually involve activities that net tons of experience along with a lot of Conquest points, and vice versa. I tell people all the time, that if they're focused on leveling FAST choosing the right guild is of paramount importance. Look for a more active guild, basically. But seriously, good video as usual, SWTORISTA, thank you!!
I never understood why anyone (new players) would be interested in leveling their char fast. Leveling up and the story is what is so great about this game. So take it slow, enjoy the story, enjoy your decision in the story and explore. There is absolutely no need to level up fast.
Quick travel may be limited for new players being it cost credits to use. Always use quick travel once you can afford to. Heroics are much easier when you get your first companion character. Which will be late in the first planets story line.
Ironically, just this last weekend I reinstalled SWTOR to join a guild on a server I had no characters on. The Force must have guided you to make this video at this time.
If you're a free planner join a Guild for A-day longer if you can but try to get the level 25 but in my experiences with the. Way players are being in guild is not reliable
Great summary , quality video as usual ! I'd like to add the Galactic Starfighter route of leveling toons to this list. I know , it's a tough nut to most people and not to everyones liking (as the rawest of space PVP) - but - it's hell of an XP donor and you can sign up to matches right from level one , which will explode you forward in level - even if you get slaughtered a lot in the beginning ... Just do the devoted pilots the favour and really participate in the GSF matches to the best of your ability and don't just sit them out like some do. Reading up on it and/ or watching Swtoristas video on GSF will help you a lot at the start!
With bioware passing the game off, what do you think the future of the game is? I hope they continue, but also release some extra stuff. Like a classic/progression server!!
I prefer to play throughout the game an level up like everyone else. I enjoys playing through all the missions of any game I find. The developers of the games spend months to years of there lives making stuff for use to enjoy and to rush through is is putting all that work to waste. The least I can do is try and complete as much as i can to at least try and do the games justice. Sorry for the essay I just look at things a bit philosophical than other if I cuase annoyance to anyone I apologies
lvling is too fast nowadays in swtor and all other mmos too. the only mmo i played and can think about with slow leveling is lotro. what do you think about swtor is getting to a new company ?
Love your content. Is it even possible to be under leveled at this time? Mostly when i start a twink they are 5-15 lvl over leveled. But nether the less nice guide for new players.
Yes! It's why I decided to include it when i cut other parts out. Basically if you only follow the purple quests, and have no boosts and do no side quests, you may be underlevelled. People keep messaging me about being stuck at Quesh cus they cant get the inoculation quest haha!
If you have a stronghold or someone in your guild has a stronghold on yavin 4, you can travel there at level 1 and explore the area to level up super quickly if you have an XP boost active. there are some areas on Yaven 4 that don't have many monsters that attack you. I saw this in a video where they speed leveled a character very fast. but to get back to the starting planet, you need to be flown there by someone else since you don't have a ship if you do this. I think the level 1 character got help from a level 80. Or maybe they boosted through the class missions quickly to get the ship and then traveled to the yaven 4 strong hold. in any case, exploring Yaven 4 that early gave massive XP
The devs patched this out in the recent patches. Before your guildie could invite you to a stronghold, and then kick you from the stronghold and you would be on the planet to level fast. Rishi in particular could go from level 1 to level 27 in 30 minutes of exploring, but the only way to get to Yavin or Rishi or any high exp planet now is to earn your ship after completing the prelude, and traveling there. One of the guys below said you can go to your stronghold and then essentially delete the sh, and after to rebuy it, but you can earn a ship in an hour and half on most stories so its probably easier just go go that way first.
So back when I used to play wow one of the things I really wanted them to steal from SWTOR was the been able to mount while moving it’s one of my big bugbears about any game that has a mount system that you are forced to stop to speed up (even more of a pain if you are using it to escape something you can’t be bothered to fight) and while I’m ranting been dismounted by stuff you can oneshot they are forcing me to massacre them and any other that are in range to make a point. I know it’s a different setting but I’m sure this is how the great tribble hunt started, a Klingon was happily riding along on his mount when a tribble dismounted him and thus the great tribble hunt started just to show that tribble who was the boss.
Do any of the level up items let you keep the class buff on your other characters? To clarify, I level boosted my trooper a while ago and my consular main doesn't have the trooper buff but does have the scoundrel buff from where I leveled that character. I'm currently leveling another trooper just to get the buff and I still need to do Jedi Knight but I really don't like leveling. So do any of the level up items let you get the buffs?
Do you know how to get back in the game if your password got reset? The email it went to is old and not valid anymore. EA won't help me because of a similiar problem I had several years ago. They only help once with something like that even though they know it's my account. I have played since the launch other then taking breaks due to hardships here and there and don't want to start over espically with all the stuff I had bought and unlocked
Hammer station, that is how to level quickly. It's incredibly boring. Never assume that the group you are in doesn't want to finish hammer station at a sprint speed as fast as possible. They don't have time to tell you. Once you are nearing cap level you will have occasional overgeared members that can remove the need for a tank except with bosses
Can i skip my main Class Story or does this affect something in the later expansions or anything? I want to make my Jedi Knight able to play the Expansions, because i already played the Main Class Story once like 3 Months ago but deleted the Character.
I don't think so, unless you use a level 80 token. The expansions have to be done in order, meaning you won't even get the option to do later content until you get to at least chapter 3 of vanilla
Is it possible for free-to-play players to unlock a level 80 char with the "Master's datacron..." token? Technically no because F2P players can only level up to level 60, but why should't it be possible?
I believe yes, but then you can't actually do anything new at 80 haha, as you don't have the expansions unlocked. I have not tested this, I did test the Commander's Token.
I am still watching this video but did you mention how a FAST WAY to gain the FIRST 5 levels from 1, real fast, is to just POP an XP BOOST ITEM and then CLICK on TITLES in your Collections to gain 4-5 levels right away real fast WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING ELSE -- without even playing the GAME? I can gain 4-5 levels, right from 1, just by popping an XP boost and going to Collection Unlocks IN TITLES and unlocking all my Legacy TITLES which grant a LOT of XP per ADD click....
The Victorious Pioneer set still gives an xp boost? I thought it was only cosmetic now. I remember when it was released the mods and enhancements self adjusted to match the wearer's level.
Dont think we need a video showing how to level fast is swtor. Just logging in provides level 50 ;) We need a video on how to level slow. How to complete story and side quest without overleveling.
Nice trolling video lol. But seriously make a video on how to level up SLOWER in SWTOR. I am on F2P account and doing only purple quests and I am same level as quests!!! Yet I have very little cash cos I am forced to ignore other content so not to over level!
wait hold the FUCK UP....QUICK TRAVEL!?!?!? ARE YOU SERIOUS?!!?!? WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW all this tyme?! i hate it here LMFAO!!! thank you SO SO MUCH holy shit!!!!!
Why would you want to level up faster? If anything I would love to have difficulty Tiers to the open world content, same as Diablo does, so I can enjoy questing and combat more.
@@Swtorista Just to be clear I don't mean flipping chairs *wink* Just clever use of game mechanics like the stealth runs. Which were clearly not to their liking.
Now, challengetime: How low-level can you be at the end of your class story? Bonus points for Stealth Force classes that use a normal blade instead of a double-bladed lightsaber.
How to level up fast? Play the game, it drowns you in xp. It's harder to not massively over level a character than it is to level up fast. I skip most side quest content not because I don't like doing it but because I was getting tired of having my characters easily reach lvl 50 by the time I was done with Nar Shaddaa.
I asked swtorista on twitch @thebearadventures how to get from 77 to 80 in time to do the OPS in the rakghoul event that just finished. It may just be a huge coincidence but I like to think I helped along the idea for this video 😂 also if you read this swtorista, I managed it and beat the op with 16hours to go!

Yeah, I remember that. It was fantastic for the first playthrough for an imperial and a republic character. That being said, it got old fast.

@@Swtorista Thanks, I thought you might have some advice with all your experience. Will try again
You're the best ^~^
:)
Thank you
FP are all spacebar events now, if you dont spacebar, you'll most likely be kicked out of the group
Please note that the background noise is painful :(
I wanna ask u, Im now level 60 cap, and I cant grow the level and stuck in level 60, how to grow it? I must subs or f2p can grow above 60?
Swtorista, could you make a video of how to farm credits at high level? a 2023 version...
No changes! all the same swtorista.com/articles/how-to-earn-credits-in-swtor/
@@Swtorista Ty, you are awesome!
Masters Datacron. Costs ~$20 USD or tons of credits on GTN
Can’t even play it. Just has a giant pink box in my screen when I try
Ah! See if updating your graphic drivers fixes it
Is it possible for free-to-play players to unlock a level 80 char with the "Master's datacron..." token? Technically no because F2P players can only level up to level 60, but why should't it be possible?
I believe yes, but then you can't actually do anything new at 80 haha, as you don't have the expansions unlocked. I have not tested this, I did test the Commander's Token.
@@Swtorista Thanks a lot. I just wanted to make sure not to waste any Cartel Coin. Maybe in the future.
And have a nice evening :)
what is the name of the with armor you have on your male sith?
If I remember right, frenzied warrior! swtorista.com/armor/frenzied-warrior
I can gain 4-5 levels, right from 1, just by popping an XP boost and going to Collection Unlocks IN TITLES and unlocking all my Legacy TITLES which grant a LOT of XP per ADD click....
where's your should you play swtor in 2023?
I'm waiting for the 7.3 update so i can give a well-rounded overview :)
@@Swtorista woohoo!
so meksha, onderon, yavin, makeb, rishi, oricon. oge oge
Thanks Darla!
The Victorious Pioneer set still gives an xp boost?
I thought it was only cosmetic now. I remember when it was released the mods and enhancements self adjusted to match the wearer's level.
yep, i think to level 75
KDY is better for flashpoint spam.
Dont think we need a video showing how to level fast is swtor. Just logging in provides level 50 ;) We need a video on how to level slow. How to complete story and side quest without overleveling.
Recommend any active and friendly guilds?
I recommend checking out swtorfancommunity.com/
thoughts on swtor being sold to third party
video coming out today, it's not being 'sold'.
Nice trolling video lol. But seriously make a video on how to level up SLOWER in SWTOR. I am on F2P account and doing only purple quests and I am same level as quests!!! Yet I have very little cash cos I am forced to ignore other content so not to over level!
I'd rather see a video of how to level slow
Here's a lil tip on that! swtorista.com/articles/how-to-level-slower-in-swtor-white-acute-module-guide/
Its not called spamhammer for nothing
wait hold the FUCK UP....QUICK TRAVEL!?!?!? ARE YOU SERIOUS?!!?!? WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW all this tyme?! i hate it here LMFAO!!! thank you SO SO MUCH holy shit!!!!!
How do you get a portable vendor?
Check the Character Perks section of your legacy window :)
@@Swtorista Thanks!
Fastest way; just buy the Masters Datacron (Joke)
Edit: It's even in the video, haha!
Yes this joke drives me crazy lol! So i made sure to put it in the vid too :)
Why would you want to level up faster? If anything I would love to have difficulty Tiers to the open world content, same as Diablo does, so I can enjoy questing and combat more.
I just need some 3360 plus gear but players dont wanna run r4 these days or atleast r4 nim
Bruh can I get a transcript some people are old swtor fans
Why don't you ever cover the so called levelling exploits?
I've got some notes about them in the written guide. I don't really recommend them.
@@Swtorista
Just to be clear I don't mean flipping chairs *wink*
Just clever use of game mechanics like the stealth runs. Which were clearly not to their liking.
Now, challengetime: How low-level can you be at the end of your class story?
Bonus points for Stealth Force classes that use a normal blade instead of a double-bladed lightsaber.
Depends, do you have a friend willing to summon you down to quesh to get past the inoculation quest? :P
Appreciate the video as I am trying to get my partner into the game so maybe it’ll help her out.
have fun! check out the swtor with friends guide swtorista.com/articles/playing-swtor-with-a-friend/
honestly its way too easy to level now
How to level up fast? Play the game, it drowns you in xp. It's harder to not massively over level a character than it is to level up fast.
I skip most side quest content not because I don't like doing it but because I was getting tired of having my characters easily reach lvl 50 by the time I was done with Nar Shaddaa.
By playing the game
SWTOR SUCKS LMAO DYING GAME HAHAHAHA
Then why are you here?
It's a bit frightening your unaware of solo Flashpoint and doing a leveling video
What is solo flashpoint ?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
still milking this game lmao
Yea..I'm almost level 15 I picked up a speeder and stuck it in collebut can't get it to hot bar...suggestions?
I asked swtorista on twitch @thebearadventures how to get from 77 to 80 in time to do the OPS in the rakghoul event that just finished. It may just be a huge coincidence but I like to think I helped along the idea for this video 😂 also if you read this swtorista, I managed it and beat the op with 16hours to go!
CONGRATULATIONS HAHA!!!!
I have returned to the game after 9 years, are you happy now?
How dare u
welcome back, have fun!
