Hey! Can you make keys for a 2015 Ford Expedition? I live in Lynnwood. I turned to a specialist to make a duplicate key for my car, but in three days all he could do was erase the original key, now I can't use my car.
Specialist???? Is the car fitted with a special alarm or something?? 2015 should have either a bladed key or a prox, both are pretty easy... I try and stay down south, but if you call Auto Lock Masters, I am sure they could get to you in no time...
One more question can I use a 2009 or 2008 there matching DME Cas Key fob for there car and install it in mine? this way I will not have to synchronize it just plug and play or with this not communicate with the other modules in my car? the Dme will have a different part number and cas will too but it will be cas3
yes, you can put a complete set, DME, CAS, and key into your car.. It will start, but your ABS and Traction control and DSC will be in alarm because of the VIN mismatch... As for CAS3 or CAS3+, if the car the modules came out of has been back to the dealer for service, it probably was upgraded to CAS3+ ISTAP4...
Now when you virginize it can be reprogrammed to any car that uses that ecu type? will it insert the correct vin and if necessary synchronize ecu/dme to cas/ews?
well, after you virginize an ME, yes, it can be used on any Mercedes that takes the same part number... There is no EWS/CAS on a Mercedes.... If you are asking about a BMW DME, please watch some of my BMW videos... Replacing a BMW DME is a little different than replacing a Mercedes ME..
Tim question . If I have a Merc with a totally screwed ECU (got a CR3.13 Bosch which won't communicate anymore. Repairing it does not seem a solution since it had problems before (starter actuation). So reading data and coding no go by obd and the ECU programmer does not support this one. Can we virgin another one and program it with fbs data from EIS? Or even coding it maybe with a tool like the Autel Ultra? Sorry it his is a silly question. Did quite a few ECU's for Benz but eeprom is not easy in this case. Normally we take data from the old and coding and personalise it and add coding with the original data
@@nanopiebald plenty of used ECU's in stock and you missed the part in which I mentioned I replace them frequently (no offence mentioned) ? It's just this one that cannot simply be gotten data from anymore. A new one is viriginised in no time, but was curious if still easy to program without that data.
@@hsmautoservice158 I did - my apologies. Do you have an online Xentry Flash account? If so, you could just install a virgin unit and do initial startup. However my guess is if you have a Xentry Flash account, you would have done it that way already. When you install it, when you activate it and it is virgin, it will ask you if you have a .bin file that contains the FBS data, or if you want the software to instruct the ECU to pull the data from the EIS for you automatically. The coding part would be a concern. You said you could not get it to respond over OBD2 (I presume you were attempting it in the vehicle?) and although the ECU Programmer software may not be able to read and write the flash data, can you connect directly to it and establish a direct diagnostic connection with the ECU and communicate with it that way? Perhaps that would allow you to save the coding. Sometimes it pays to experiment a little - for example, a W210 has the 38-pin connector and a 2000+ has an ME 2.8. Using the 38 pin connector you should be able to reach all modules in the vehicle, and if you attempt to use OBD2 it will not proceed. If you only need to do coding on the ME 2.8, you can do it purely OBD2. Open Mercedes Commander, select OBD2 when asked about the cable being used, and select W221 E-Class-2003+ Gasoline, and other options as normal. Then scan the vehicle and it will pick up the ME 2.8 early in the process and you can code it, read SCN strings and clear DTCs all without opening the hood. But it is only for jobs when you only need to work on the ME as other modules will not be detected.

Can I use a year before mine, 2009, as long as it came out of A/T turbo car? please help going threw H. E. double hockey sticks trying to get my daughters fixed. I've been ripped off twice now with so called 'ecu repair shops' trying to avoid that again. I have bought a computer with a lot of bmw software. Ista-d, ista-p, ista-icom, Isn, ncs/expert tool32, Inpa, and (I/me) still can not synchronize the used DME. I used the same part with the same part number as my original Dme and Cas that I purchased before I got ripped off and they kept my only working key fob. I read the original DME and wrote to the donor DME with Ktag and then tried synchronizing them with bmw software and it didn't work. Just contacted bmw dealer for new DME, CAS, and KEY fob, they want over 4k for them. somebody that knows please reply
You do not have a CAS4 in your 2010 R56.... it was never in those.... Have you watched my video about replacing a DME in a 2009 Mini?? it's the same process... Please go to realoem.com, put in the last 7 of your Vin and find out what exactly you have... You should have a CAS3+ and a MED17XXX DME... The process is to read the ISN from the DME, read the ISN from the CAS, then overwrite the ISN in the CAS with the ISN from the DME, then after writing that to the CAS, encrypt it, then write it to the CAS again..., then back up a page and sync DME and CAS... The softwares you are using are not going to change the ISN in either of the modules... I am really sorry for all the hassles you have gone thru... Is taking the car to the dealer out of the question??

Perhaps take a used ECU and have some fun with Abrites and virginize it, install it, and SCN code it with Xentry/DAS online?

also; as you may know not every ecu can be programmed to every benz.. so simple trying is not that simple ;)
