Exactly that happened to me: people came against me when I became observant and I wanted to convert: all christian friends dumped me and some I had to say goodbye 😄 and really the toughest ones are the ones nearest - the family and some people in the shull 😄 but I said I cannot change back who I was before, so I continued the path of becoming a Jew. When I asked why only vaccinated people can come to events in the shull, I was blocked - "conspiracy theories must not exist in our group" 😄 Hashem is so great! תודה רבה על השיעור, רבי 🙌🏼
Praise be!!! Thank you for confirming why I stopped being a Christian. The more I read the NT the more questions I had. The more Roman\pagan it resembled. What I couldn't figure out about the NT is that There is nothing wrong with the original. The Torah is the original. And. It says 4 ever. And that's what it means. There's no reason for new rules. It teaches you to not be accountable. And that you don't need to change your just forgiven but only through someone who goes to Hashem for you? So I'm confused? . And those important 4 ever rules of Torah are changed? and that is wrong! It doesn't teach true repentance and tithing. You just give it to the church. Not actually helping your neighbor. I'm not dogging Christians I was raised that way. But it just never settled well. The stories resemble something different than Torah. Especially the holidays. Those are not from Torah. Trunk or treat in the church lot? I feel sad for my fellow Christians who are mostly loving caring people we are just being tricked to block our true potential to repent change forgive and help others do the same. Thank you for helping us on this path thanks to the whole channel and your families. Sry so long a ramble. My forever problem is my mouth. Prayers for us all.
Thank you for your words. You put into words about half of what led me ‘here’. I was more repelled by what I was raised in at a physical level. It was hard for me to verbalize, but I knew something was wrong and teachings there no longer resonated with me; I couldn’t even rationalize staying for the other people. Perhaps a husk was removed from my eyes. I am so very thankful to be here. Thank you again.
