- music from www.purple-planet.com for years i thought this jacket was a barrack dress blouse, anyway, i tested this battledress blouse, in some harsh brecon beacons weather, wind, heavy drizzle, and the result was outstanding.

Iconic wool jacket mate. From Norway to cold nights in North Africa and Artic Convoys it served the British Armed well for 20+ years. Nice thing. That flipping hill made me lol.
It did a good job, probably the best fleece on the mountain, and yet nobody would think that. That hill? What can I say. When I watched the footage back, we were both friends again. 🙂
I don’t think you should be embarrassed wearing it. Its a good solid designed blouse paired with a submariners’ wool jumper you won’t be cold.

I remember er the American version in the 50's and 60's. Very well made. Densely woven wool.

I tell you something, they are really good, it performed fantastically, like a boss.

@peterhoughton3770 Yes, it's Epic militaria (184126) on eBay. This jacket yielded some surprising results in that weather due to it being made of wool.

I can't remember much of it, but it wasn't long like a blazer or a number 2 dress jacket. 🤔

It could have been. To me, it was just an old-fashioned army jacket.
