Beth is living proof of the strength needed to come back from the brink of disaster. Her voice is fantastic and you can hear the pain she has experienced.
Love that you got back to the powerful Beth Hart. She has never been shy about opening herself up to the audience. . She once said the worst breakdown she ever had was after being sober for 6 years. She gave up all drugs, including the anti-depressants she was prescribed. She does a song called "Like You (And Everyone Else)" that is about recovery and well worth a listen. The line "The drugs make me sane, but they don't make me better" just kills me.
Just grabs you by the throat. The hope shining through the pain and doubt is just beautiful.
Beth is an amazing artist. I cannot recommend highly enough her performance of 'Am I the One' live at Paradiso. Spectacular!

The Beth Hart catalog is deep and filled with some of the best, under-appreciated songwriting there is.
Amber, if you want to feel deeply as you did with this song, try the live version of 'You Belong to Me.' I rarely suggest a live version of a song but her introduction to the song changes the whole meaning.
If you want sultry Beth, try 'Fire on the Floor' and 'Love Gangster.'
How about a duet with Buddy Guy? Listen to 'Whatcha Gonna Do About Me?'
Beth is an incredible survivor. She has had lifelong battle with bipolar disorder and depression. Great art often comes great suffering. Beth is proof of that.

The power behind her vocals is incredible but the writing is heart wrenching. She pulls you into her world and it elicits an emotion that makes you feel her pain. Incredible writing and such a beautiful voice. No matter how many times I hear this and other songs that hit you hard, I feel it even more watching Amber get emotional. This is why I continue to come back to watch you both. The genuineness that you both react to the music is clear. I remember watching you react to SLAUGHTER - "Fly to the Angels" and Jay got a bit emotional and that was so cool to watch. Nice reaction.

I have seen Beth 3 times in the UK, she gives it everything. She talks to the audience and not only walks down the main isles but walks along the some rows of seats. Beth quite often sits on the edge of the stage and performs as well as talks. What a Class Act!

Unfortunately Beth has been recently struggling again and had to cancel her tour. But she did just put out a cover of Stormy Monday with Slash. It just hit youtube yesterday if anyone is interested. Her battle with Bipolar 1 is a lifelong struggle. God bless her.

Glad you got to this guys . I was privileged to be at this show row 10 ..A truly heartfelt song from Beth . Just a few weeks prior to this she played a real small intimate gig and we managed to get front row . Front row was just 8 seats to give you an idea . Jesus I could literally hug her from my seat …. She is an amazing artist live 110% . Up there with the best of any artists..❤❤

I've been begging you guys to do Beth for months and months. Now you know why. I hope it doesn't stop here.
I was in a Blues/Rock band back about 2004, we tour around all the local clubs in the South Bay (California). Our main lead singer was a female and she brought in a CD to rehearsal one day, it was Leave the Light on and she said "you got to check out this girl Beat Hart I just discovered". We listened to the whole album and we were blown away, it was raw, honest and kicked ass. Let me tell you by the time of our next gig we had two new songs on our set list from this album, Bottle of Jesus and Monkey Back.

Beth Hart was born in 1972 (now 52 years old). This song was written in Oct 2003 and this performance was in 2018 (she was 46).

Beth is amazing! Fun Fact: She won the female vocalist category of "Star Search" (the first real talent show ala, AGT & American Idol) in the early 90's when she was around 20 yrs old. I watched her every single week for several months. She was mesmerizing; I had never seen anyone like her before! I just knew she would become very successful. I'm glad to see she made it through all of her troubles in life and she's happy and healthy. She's only improved with age! And she just cool AF!

I wanted my daughters to hear a real artist. The first concert I took them to was Beth. There is no one better. Seen her many times and each time she pours her heart into every song. My oldest daughter was in a band and sang Mama This Ones For You for her mother on her birthday.
