从Chess脱离的两人，leo是为实现泉的梦想而写歌，他自己也说过Knights这个组合是为了泉而存在，只要看到泉他就有源源不断的灵感写歌。因为泉的性格和梦之咲环境的原因，当时泉是看很多人不爽的，leo认为只要为他打败这些人，泉就会开心了。但是泉内心是自卑的，他一度认为自己除了脸什么也没有，不值得雷欧那么天才的人为自己付出这么多。他是真心喜欢leo和他的曲子，想要唱给更多人听，并不是纠结输赢或者面子，在这一点上，两个人并没真正意义上的心灵相通。
而后校内投票打分制的梦幻祭实行了之后，曾经被雷欧打败过的人依旧怀恨在心（之前说了校内一大半人都是Chess旧部），Knights在那个时候因为被人怨恨，一直屡战屡败，泉和雷欧终于爆发了争吵。
泉和leo吵架，泉想关心leo但是话到嘴边又充满刺：“你是怎么回事最近写的曲子为什么这么阴暗”，leo责备泉跟不上自己的曲子，状态没有以前好，以前看到闪耀的泉灵感涌现，现在的泉阴郁充满负面情绪，因此雷欧写不出曲子。泉一听也生气了：“你曲子写不好怪我作为养料不合格吗”……在吵到后面泉也吐露了心声：我是喜欢你，喜欢你的曲子，想要更多人听到才歌唱，雷欧笑了笑说，是吗，你也是有一点喜欢我的啊，你应该早一点告诉我.....
因为leo的粉丝们（故事中的粉丝）会叫leo大人（leosama）跟（王ousama）发音接近，所以泉在这个时期不再叫leo为leo君，改称他为“King”。leo其实不喜欢泉这么叫，他后来说过自己不想跟泉是King&Kights的关系，而是一起并肩的战友。故事中leo曾经怅然地说：“如今你再也不会用那个名字叫我了。”（称呼的改变让leo觉得很孤单）凛月这个时候其实听到他们吵架了，但是没有勇气出面去调和，一直为此而后悔。（吵架相关剧情参考万圣节活动噩梦章节）
于是Leo这个时候走向彻底崩溃，已经写不出曲子来。而后leo开始休学。但他一直还在自责，觉得自己对不起泉，对不起knights，泉去看望他的时候，他还在咬着自己发抖的手逼着自己写谱子，说再等等，再等等我就能写出最好的曲子了。雷欧害怕写不出曲子而失去泉，但其实泉并不是要他的曲子，泉也一直在等他回来。在雷欧不在的期间，knights一直是四人活动，用leo的旧曲子
后面Leo回归knights 看到他们的演出 才温馨的笑了出来I
