Thanks for the video. Great points! I also thought the Pro was too thick (from the videos and pics). Then I went into my AD, loved it, and walked out with it. Great watch.
Good review Andrew. As much as I love the new bracelet with on the fly adjustment this is one I’d buy on the fabric strap - looks brilliant with the black against the steel.
Great review, went to my local Tudor boutique yesterday to try one on and decide between this and the BB58. Was also concerned about the thickness of the Pro but once on wrist (6.7”) that just went away and I decided I could live with it. Starting to lean more in favour of the Pro over the 58. The only problem I had is that I saw the Ranger and the first thing that popped into my head was ‘ooh la la’. I’m well aware of the marmite views that are surrounding the Ranger in the watch community at the moment , there are going to be lovers and haters, but I am absolutely the former and walked out with one on my wrist. Do I still want a Pro, hell yes, but until the dust has settled and the watch fund replenished I have the Ranger. The only thing that may change my mind over the Pro is a revised North Flag, think that may be another ‘ooh la la’ moment 🤩. Agree though that you do need to see a watch in the flesh and try it on. Makes a world of difference.
Good choice. Both are nice watches and the price is right, but I like the simplicity of the Ranger. I don’t need a GMT function or a bezel. I like that the Ranger has numbers, so I don’t have to figure out the time.
i was loving your review already and then as an owner of the North Flag got super excited. Yes, Yes, Yes. North Flag GMT would be awesome and strategically important for tudor over next decade.
I do like that new T-Fit clasp. That's a handy little piece of kicka$$ kit, w/ the ceramic ball bearing detents, and arguably one of the best "on the fly" adjustment systems. It'll be a game changer for sure when that innovation, makes it's way into other models across other ranges. I could see myself w/ a BB36, and a T-Fit clasp. 👍keep up the good work, ma friend. Cheers....
Great review. I’d be interested in a white dial version! Fake rivets don’t bother me too much, but I agree, would prefer without. Wonder whether the new bracelet on the Ranger, without rivets, will fit other models and/or whether that design will make its way across the lineup. Cheers
Really wanted a GMT as travel a lot and started to look at Explorer 2 as serious option. I like the explorer 2 but don’t love it and honestly prefer the design of the BB Pro particularly vintage vibe and cool dial. Bought one last week and with £5000 left in change to buy the wife an Oyster Perpetual it’s a no brainer for me.
I really didn’t understand the hype about this watch when it was first announced but it has grown on me. The bb range all look the same. I prefer the original gmt with the pepsi bezel, but this might be more versatile as a one watch collection. I've never really understood the point to a gmt watch, unless your a business traveller. And even then how hard is it really to track another time zone if you know it's +5 Or whatever.
