Coming from someone who’s not really religious. I’m a believer, but I don’t take super serious... I appreciate you guys. Your outlook on the situation is inspiring. You guys saw the world through another mans eyes instead of judging him simply due to the fact that he has different beliefs than you do. You really do practice what you preach. Equality through the differences. Differences through experiences. Respect ✊🏽

I was a catholic when I was younger but as I was hitting my high school years I really started asking myself these types of questions. I would consistently ask these questions that I actually turned into an atheist because nobody I went to whether it was one of my local priests, grandparents, etc didn't have any answers. So when Hopsin said "what if Jesus was a facade, then that would mean the government is God" that really struck me because I thought I was the only one really saying that just not through music

    • @NallsFamily
      @NallsFamily  6 лет назад +20

Sam V I feel you on that, I’ve always wondered if the government created the Bible to give us laws in order to keep the peace but the more I read it’s a complex book and so is the world. I feel like there has to be a genius Architect behind it all. If you want a to send a few questions over I will try my best to answer them and for the things I don’t have answers for we will hunt them down

They will always try and kill God off but they will never succeeded. And be a Anti-GOD person for very long time cause the longer you wait the answer shows you miracles over & over again cause money CNT replace priceless & your loved ones even more n if you didn't hit the lotto I knew a guy that won the lotto then died 3 days later and all his earnings didn't go anywhere cause he didn't have anyone to share his lotto with to enjoy himself besides giving it to his kids before he left all that wealth going back to lotto cause the state realize he died alone with all that money almost going back to the state. So his kids got on his last good deed to inherit the money for their future.

HAYT I don't know what you mean? Are asking for me to prove God is real or asking to prove that who God's real hommie is? Lol. 🤔😳
If you are asking me to prove He is real, I don't know how. I just feel it. Know it in my heart. The things I have been through. The miracles in my family's life. Prophecies I've read in the Bible that I see happening now. In our time. I've heard God speak to me in times of distress. And I know it is him. I wish I could prove his existence. I wish I could show the love he has for us all. I guess the only way to do that is to truly walk His way. But I'm not where I should be in my walk with Christ. I truly want to be but because of this monkey on my back I can't shake I feel unworthy. Doesn't mean I love Him less or that He loves me less. I just think maybe I need to go through what I'm dealing with so that I may be more able to help others that are walking the path as me. I don't judge people for what they believe or who they worship. I don't bash the Bible into their heads. We are all different and I know that's how God made us. He gave us that choice. Someone who truly loves you will not try to force you to love them back. They want an unconditional love. They want you to love them because you want to love them. I believe that's the way God is. I can't stand a Christian who only preaches about fire and brimstone. They are judgemental and condemn a person to hell before they even know that person. It gives not only every other Christian a bad rep but also our God. God is love, a light I'd want to be a part of for all eternity. My biggest fear is standing before the Lord on judgment day and hear Him say to me, " Away from me. I never knew you." Then turn his back. This will happen. We will all stand before God whether you believe that or not. And of course he would turn his back on those that didn't believe.
If you have a friend, that was always cool to your face but behind your back bash your name, call you a fake bitch. Do nothing but diss you to others and was never there for you when you just wanted nothing more than to be their friend and for them to have your back or just chill sometimes. But you found out what they are really about so you cut them out of your life. Or you have an enemy. A true enemy who you started out cool with but then they did the worst possible sht they could do. They fight you to the end. Always calling you out. Just making your life complete hell. Or a girl that you truly love. She was your ride or die then she cheats on you, a lot and breaks your heart it's unforgivable. I'm sure in each of these situations you'd have nothing to do with these people and for the most part they'd have nothing to do with you. But then one day you get rich. Hit the lotto, get a record deal, get that career that makes you something more than you thought you could ever be whatever the situation, you have something they want to be a part of but they didn't do anything to deserve it. then suddenly they all want to come back around and talk about how close y'all are. Your fake friend would talk about how he's been there for you and all the good times. Your enemy who you started out cool with may try to make things right. your ex tries endlessly to apologise. Would you accept any if these people into your home and life after you work hard to get what you've earned? Probably not. I'm sure God feels the same. He did make us in his image. But God, unlike most people will forgive you no matter what you've done. Just not after judgement.
Satan and his demons bring hate and destruction. They are God's true enemy. They are the voices in the back of mind telling you it's ok to do something you shouldn't. They cause your fear, your Conflictions, confusion. All that negative energy you feel. I've seen and felt them as well. Probably more than I've felt God. But I had surrounded myself with evil at one point in my life so that's why.
My biggest thing is eternity. Even as a child, I would worry about going to Hell. I'd try to imagine how long eternity is. And it scared me and still does. it's never ending. It's forever. I'd rather spend my eternal life in the presence of a loving, true God than in a place of sorrow and hate with all the evil this universe has to offer. Satan tries his damndest to bring us down with him because God shows favor to us, his children, his life breath. And Satan can't stand it. He hates us for it.
The choice is yours. I'm not here to preach. Just giving you my stance on how I view it. If you want proof there are scientists that have evidence of God's existence. I can't explain it the way they do. Just Google it if you are truly interested.
Now as far as God's hommie goes, I'm not sure who he or she is. I suppose the people who are closest to Him. Idk. My oldest son, perhaps and all others with his amount of faith. He has this loving way of talking to people and spreading God's word without coming off as pushy.
Well, whatever life brings you, I wish you the best. Sorry if I didn't give you the answers you wanted but that's all I got and it's from my heart. And sorry I've wrote you a book. Hope it makes sense. Much love and peace to you.

HAYT well a lot of people are like that. And I understand that. It's hard to believe in something you can't see. For me it's not so hard though. I believe in a lot things others don't believe in. But it's things I've wittinessed myself. I have a question for you. Why ask if you know a definitive answer can be given? Was you looking to have someone condemn you so you could retaliate? What answer was you looking for?

I grew up in a Christian household and took it pretty serious until around middle school. I had a lot of these same questions, but no one I asked had any satisfying answers. As I continued to grow and question everything around me I, eventually stopped believing while the rest of my family remains Christian. Every now and again I find myself pondering this very topic, but to no avail. It's a very complicated conversation to have and I'm no closer to finding my own answers now than I was ten years ago. This is the way I was brought up as a Christian. To be understanding and accepting of people's doubts and questions regarding God, heaven, hell, etc. I've had questionable faith several times in my life because there is things I doubt or can't understand. Much respect to you guys, I LOVE the way you were accepting and didn't judge. 👌

I used to be a believer. But I started losing faith cuz of a more logical or scientific reason. Being told that God created everything in 6 days, and believing that, would mean all of science is wrong. So, God gave us the intelligence to make these discoveries, but we should disregard them and just have "faith" in the bible? Sorry, I can't do that!
Like Hopsin says , My mind just keeps pickin' shit apart all day!

Redeemed Soul..I get where you're coming from! If you believe that the bible is the word of God and God cannot lie, then the bible must be true. yet, all scientific evidence tells us the bible's description of creation can't be true! So for me, I can't rationalize a way to believe the bible is both true and wrong at the same time! that seems like the perfect example of "wanting your cake and eating it to" I don't see a way of having both.

I was confused because the way I saw it he wasn't being disrespectful he was just looking and confused and wanted to believe but his human body was telling him not to. Hopsin even said himself he liked the religion and the life he was living it's just that he was confused. We can all say, those who are religious, we've had our questions about our religion. That's what I saw in this he was just confused and had questions.

He is looking for a sign that proves god is real he even said it in the song he said thet if he found proof he would give everything up. The canonization of scripture was far more accurate than an elementary game of telephone, there's an entire field of academia dedicated to this fact. Its called (biblical) textual criticism if you wish to research it. Bottom line is human errancy doesn't account for nearly enough to give rise to any reasonable skepticism of any essential orthodox doctrine of christianity. Ignorance of the matter's reality is required to argue otherwise. Scholastic issues aside, its okay to be angry and honest with your thoughts and feelings during your attempt at a christian lifestyle. In fact, to be anything less wouldn't be genuine. There's no way to know for sure (from the outside looking in) when someone (especially if you dont know them personally) says they 'no longer believe' if they're just saying so out of anger/stress/'caught up in the moment' or if they actually truly 'no longer believe', I will say it is impossible for a believer to actually no longer believe. Anyone who actually does not believe never actually believed in the first place. I guess only you know as an individual where you actually stand and I don't advise anyone 'fake it til they make it', only causes confusion. Sorry for the essay lol

As a Christian myself I’ve struggled with this song, but I also have listened to it multiple times and looked up lyrics to see if I could get his true interpretation of what’s being said. I finally came to the realization that it isn’t that he doesn’t believe, he just wants proof. As humans we seek answers to questions were incapable of understanding. That being said, I just came across an interview with Hopsin himself explain the origins of the song and what it means to him. I think it’s a very interesting interview, and if you haven’t seen it yet you should check it out.

I really hope so, he’s definitely got talent and although I don’t feel he has to conform to that of being a Christian artist (because you always need to stay true to yourself) I hope he rediscovers his faith. The Bible says there is only one unforgivable sin, and that’s blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. As Christians none of us are perfect and we (knowingly) sin daily, but I have the comfort of knowing I have a God above that looks past that and loves me no matter what. I don’t shove my beliefs down people’s throats because that is one of the biggest deterrents for non believers. I just hope and pray that everyone will eventually gain the understanding and peace of mind that I have come to experience knowing that my God is real and that I will be welcomed inside those pearly gates and spend an eternity with him. God is truly an awesome God! God bless you and yours.

This isn't disrespectful. Christian's hating on this video is a real shame. Everyone goes through struggles in their faith. If it was easy to believe, it wouldn't be faith, nor would it be meaningful. If it wasn't for all the language, i'd show this in my church. Because it reminds me, while im listening, an awful lot about the story of Jacob wrestling with God. God respected his struggle, and left him in a weakened physical state and a strengthened emotional and spiritual state, re-naming Jacob as Israel (Strives with God). God wants people to seek him out, to be desperate in spirit for him. The worst thing you can do is become complacent- thinking either you dont need God, or what little you know of God is enough. This is Hopsin confused, angry, lashing out, frustrated.... and yet, holding out his hands, desperately wanting a response. My favourite Hopsin song by far, and a song i've showed to dozens of friends and family who don't typically like rap, all with some degree of respect or approval.

I was in this exact place many times and I am a Christian. To be honest with you, I feel as though, if you don't analyze your own beliefs then you're a sheep in life and just follow what you're told. I've studied many religions, i've had an atheist mentality for long periods of time, questioned gnosticism, but at the end of the day, it always brought me back to the same place. I'm sure of what I believe, and in spite of what others think, my faith is no crutch, it doesn't make life somehow simpler. I'm not gunna feed into anyone's debating, it really doesn't apply to my comment. I simply came here to state my conclusion. I'm proudly a Christian, and have numerous reasons for why, that's something that anyone's words could never take away from me. I also find any insult ridiculous, as we don't know eachother and couldn't have a real conversation over the internet when you could never see my side of the story based on my own life's experience...if you havent experienced these thoughts as a Christian, you haven't really thought through your beliefs, or you're lying to yourself.

I absolutely love Hopsin. This by far is prob my favorite song of his bc I can relate to it so much. I am currently agnostic, trying to find God though. I just had my best friend of 20 years die Dec 26, '17 along with my brother in law/nephew's father Jan. 2, '18 (both in the same week) and it has really made me question religion. He brings up so many questions I've asked myself over and over. I don't feel this song is disrespectful at all--he is speaking truth and asking questions that so many of us wonder about but never ask. I love the part when he actually yells "I'm f*cking done!"--bc that's legit what I've been screaming in my own head and where my mind has been the entire past month...like...I can't take this shit anymore - I need to know if God is really there or if we go through all this bullshit for no fucking reason (I suffer from extreme seasonal depression, and it's been cold AF here in Charlotte, NC ---love the panthers hat, btw! agh i'm so disappointed they didn't make it to the playoffs!!! --- plus having two very important ppl in my life die within a week, shit has been rough). Anyways, back to the song lol, the part where he says "iim not reading that bc a human wrote it" has always been something I've always had issues with...like he says, we ARE such an inaccurate source. I definitely recommend his other songs, he's one of the very few rappers that actually talks about REAL shit and makes incredibly good points. He is actually the only rapper my sister allows my nephew to listen to lol.

Just saw this video Bruh. And I think you hit the nail on the head.
He says early on, he doesnt have that type of bond with God to hear him. This is true of someone who has closed the communication off by closing their heart.
He says if he died right now, God would turn the fire on. This misconception is from the fire and brimstone preaching. But Christ died for that too. So if you was Christian, even the moments of the wilderness waltz were bought and paid for.
He admits he jumped in full force and fell out. This is the most common issue with zealous Christian that have no leadership guiding them. Like Peter, the man acted on emotion so strongly for Christ, but even his actions were rebuked.
He asks God to prove to him a reason to live carefully. He was given the gift of a child. There is nothing that flips that switch on quicker than having a child. His reaction to that blessing, because of a bad woman doing him dirty, he has stated he'd rather the child aborted (Ill Mind 9).
The man writes truth, his truth. And by his admissions, his lack of spiritual guidance has lead him down a path alone, in the desert, questioning God.
Bottom line is, as a Christian, you should bebtunednin to his heart. Instead of casting judgement and pushing Hopsin aside, you should be having compassion for him. I forget where Christ turned away anyone with questions about his father. If any Christian can point to that verse, Id appreciate it.

I really like this song. I think Hopsin like most people is questioning religion which is not the same as faith but now days they are seen as the same. The whole song he is talking to God and all his doubts have to do with the human aspect of it. I believe it is a very honest song that everyone can relate to but are afraid to admit as if it makes you lesd a believer. Jesus said numerous times that the apostles had such little faith and they got to walk beside him. Think on that.

    • @NallsFamily
      @NallsFamily  6 лет назад

Dp great point I totally agree, they had little faith in some instances and they walked beside him and seen the miracles. But I think it’s good to ask and search out the answers. Great point and thank you for tuning in 💯

I went thru this when i was 14 when my adoptive father died. I have lost faith in the Christian concept of God. I feel like God had forsaken me. He knew that that man was the only positive father figure i had ever had or ever will have and he ripped him away from me and that would have been 16 years ago this October

I'm not a Christian, but this song, I believe, can be helpful to just help you make up your mind on what you do ultimately. Or at least it can represent the questions that all people have about faith at one point or another, and in answering these questions for ourselves, we can set our paths in either direction. Towards faith or away from it. It all depends on how we interpret our version of this dilemma.

I understand what he is trying to convey thru this song. Im a devout Christian and have been for about 4 years. He's venting out his fustration and doubts about Christianity, and i totally get it. He just wants know that his faith isnt false and not a waste of time. I've been there like, "is what im doing even worth it, what if im wasting my life to serve someone who isnt even there". I chose to keep running the good race, but not everyone chose the same way.

I'm not a man of any faith myself, but I feel like this is the kind of thing that a lot of people of faith could relate to. Surely there are times where you question your faith when things go wrong/there's a lack of concrete proof. I feel like frustration could lead to exactly what he's talking about

Eli Parker can’t really speak on that, I would like to believe that I would have found my way back to God, but I don’t know. I do believe your surrounding play a huge part with your faith but we can listen and try to understand where one comes from I believe it’s a better way to present the gospel

Eli Parker I don’t know, I guess the media. Media screws people’s perception up. Like all the images you see here of Africa shows it as poverty stricken but Africa is a beautiful place. But I love everyone until they do something to me to make me think otherwise

The issue with many devout individuals (and this is for any religion, lack of religion or even social groups) is that they take on a mentality of "if you so much as disagree or show any form of agreeing with opposing opinions, then you are 100% against me." So an issue arises with hardcore devout Christians when they hear someone "questioning" the Bible or the word of God, they automatically berate them or cast them as non-believers. Honestly, questioning is okay. It's okay to question these things, because all we have to go off of is historical writings in the form of multi-cultural texts spanning multiple eras in human civilization. It's easy for some people to just take it at face value, but for other people, it's hard to acknowledge and blindly believe texts that are only words. It's easy for the Bible to say something is the word of God, but the fact is that a human wrote it, whether the words are from God or not, a human was the medium for the words to be placed there. In fact, much of the early Bible from the Old Testament or even beginning of the New Testament probably isn't even from the source of the people who got the information (Old Testament during B.C. years most likely wasn't even written but rather in spoken word until someone decided to put it on tablets of some sort). So yeah, there's plenty of reason to question Biblical words. It's not from the source, it spans 4000 years of history and multiple different cultures that had differing perspectives on God. Not to mention possible government tampering (as in the governments of the time periods of certain Books). It's really easy for a King to influence what would go into the religious text to condition the masses to follow rules (honestly, I'd likely believe the act of stoning people was placed by humans to attain a goal by using religion as the tool).
See, I do find it hard to believe a majority of religious people take it at face value and don't question it. It's so difficult not to question something like the existence of God or multiple gods, or the lack of God, whichever you take. Obviously, if something happens to make it very certain that there is a greater force, it would be hard to deny it (we live in a Universe where we still don't understand everything on a physical level, so we can't even say we know everything on a philosophical or religious level either). The fact is, no one can prove anything, and if someone in this world has had a personal experience with their religious deity, then there's probably no real way for them to prove it to others, so it would be stuck with them, but at least they would have a solidified belief.

Hopsin is 100% correct. It's all a fantasy. As a once believer it makes more sense to just love your life how you feel is the best for you. Is there an afterlife? Is there a god? We will never know. There's a far better chance that both are a "no" than a "yes". Respect to the both of you for making this and being honest and respectful and most of all understanding.
