I just wanted to clarify for everyone: this video is (unfortunately) very similar to one from AI warehouse, but future videos on this channel will deviate from that. I didn't want this video to end up so similar to their style, but it just kind of ended out that way -_-. Although, it might be fun to just continue the theme and make videos in the styles of various other creators. I'm not quite sure where to take it, but I guess you'll know when I finish my next video. For the people with questions about how this was made or about the songs, check the description. Also, happy New Year, and thanks for taking a risk on a new video from a new channel
@@gordeladze if you wanted to do something similar to in the video then you should look into ML-Agents, watch a couple tutorials and get something simple working first. However, that limits you to unity. You could also look into pytorch for a pretty good and _relatively_ simple solution to many other tasks.

For those who are wondering what it said at 8:25, it says “(also, don't mind the camera quality; we spent too much money on the lab so we had to cut on the cameras sorry)”
When you said inspired, I was skeptical due to just how similar they are, same base AI (cube, ray casts line of sight and controls) and very similar testing chambers ... but even then it is quite an enjoyable expirience ... and then comes the lore ... I wonder just how much deeper can we go with this :). Outside the lore you still did do good on the progressive difficulty, that and having the platforming be randomized makes a way more reliable AI in general so the final test was even better, I shall watch your progress with excitement.
Great video! Keep up the nice work! Only thing I might want to change would be the music in the beginning. It's kinda quick for the introduction. But that's only a minor point, it's a great video!
AI Warehouse technically has lore, it's just minimal and fully background material, and it's basically just that it is the same Albert in all the tests, and the same Kai.
@@sergioandresquirogavelarde6816 I can see your point. What I think I meant to say is that there was more lore in this. Personally, from my view, AI Warehouse are a bunch of funny, silly videos of AI reinforcement learning. However, with Aster, Sci starts off like AI Warehouse, however, as time goes on, gradually, we can see Sci’s creator getting frustrated with Sci, with the experiments suddenly becoming more torturous, and when Sci reaches the end, Sci sees the reality of their world, and the clones and other torture the AI are going through, realising that the only thing that matters to the AI is the reward system. Also, Sci has flashbacks lol. Additionally, “freedom” is written near the green button. This is a sign that an AI was previously in the room. There’s two possibilities. First possibility is that the previous AI made it to the end, but never managed to click the green button, and the timer wasn’t working. They somehow managed to write “freedom” on the walls, indicating their so-beloved-reward-system they never got. Either that, or the previous AI became self-aware, and didn’t willingly press the green button, since they knew that they would just be put through even more torture and experiments. Could you inform me on the lore in AI Warehouse?
@Blue-gy2it oh you are absolutely right, there is definitely more lore here, and it's clearly going to be a focus. As for AI Warehouse, it's minimal, and purely on the fact that all the movement based challenges, they are all the same Albert, with his previous knowledge, and although not fully, was allowed to keep code from previous experiments. There is also a tiny hint of lore on Kai and his rivalry, but it truly is minimal (and with the tester as well, he also gets annoyed, in fact i'd argue that the tester here is far more optimisticand caring for the subject). I honestly should not have made the original reply in the first place, not sure why I did. Perhaps it was some part being pedantic about it being lore-focused rather than just having lore. PS. How did you reply all of that so quickly, man and I thought I typed fast.
@@sergioandresquirogavelarde6816 I just sort of type quickly lol. I don’t know how fast I can type, but I have made A LOT of long comments and stuff. But I can also imagine Albert and Kai acting like siblings tbh, and them just being competitive lol. I honestly don’t think it was intentional lore. Just deeply looked in and lore was found XD. Also, so not be ashamed of making your previous comment. It was actually kind of smart, looking deeply into AI Warehouse’s unintentional lore. You have no idea just how much lore we have come up with. We have I think like 3 paragraphs of lore with some of it tracing back to times where we sat on screens and traced out messages pixel by pixel, and then ran the messages through every single language we could possibly think of until we end up with something. The lore even includes me.
This must of taken hours to build and design, and days just recording a lab AI block failing and eventually beating a course. You deserve more than 800 subscribers for that!
Interesting start, but the learning gradient was a bit too steep for it - it didn't master the earlier stages before getting a new one, and I'm pretty sure that after a while it was overtraining on static stages, so that it remembered the exact movements it needed to do to get onto the platform, but not the significance of jumping onto the platform, so that when it got to the last stage, none of the other stages actually taught it solid enough skills to attempt it properly, and essentially it started learning from scratch. I'd have suggested adding in random platforms but staring with a much shorter hallway first, and potentially decrease the learning rate a bit.
When I saw how slow the falling speed is for this AI I was wondering if that could be used to teach it tricks, like flips, backflips (maybe from an elevated position or through a hoop or something) and such (so it basically gets rewarded for how many tricks it does, kinda like the scoring in Bigair), because the potential for the awesome tricks it could pull off is huuuge with that movement speed!
Note to self when building my evil lair: space a bunch of platforms randomly over lava so if an AI attempts to invade my lair, it constantly jumps out into the lava.
It would prove awesome to make a sequel where Sci would learn to use some kind of grappling hook! It would noticeably differ from your inspiration, giving you more flare, and it would, frankly, be very entertaining to watch, which would also benefit you, I presume.
